  • Publication number: 20220289222
Abstract: A method for evaluating the deceleration law of a vehicle including an accelerator pedal, a brake pedal, and a powertrain including an engine, a gearbox and a unit for disconnecting the engine and gearbox, the deceleration law being defined for a discrete state of the powertrain. The method includes a first step of evaluating driving parameters, including measuring the speed (v) of the vehicle, evaluating the engaged gearbox ratio, evaluating the state of closure of the disconnecting unit, detecting the position of the accelerator pedal, detecting the position of the brake pedal, evaluating the slope (a) of the road on which the vehicle is traveling, evaluating the mass (m) of the vehicle. If the accelerator pedal is in a released position and if the brake pedal is in a released position, a second step including recording the speed (v) of the vehicle and the slope (a) of the road.

  • Patent number: 10704474
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for reducing the combustion instabilities of a combustion engine, this device including: an intake circuit admitting oxidizing air to the engine, a valve positioned on the engine oxidizing air intake circuit and designed to regulate the flow rate of oxidant gas admitted to the engine, an exhaust gas recirculation circuit connected to the intake circuit upstream of the oxidizing air flow rate regulating valve. The device is arranged in such a way that, at least when an injection of fuel to the engine is cut off, a minimum opening of the valve is assured so as to eliminate recirculated gases from the intake circuit.

  • Patent number: 10669957
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling a combustion engine, the combustion engine including an inlet circuit and an exhaust circuit, the method including the steps: determining a temperature of the exhaust gases flowing through the exhaust circuit of the combustion engine; comparing the determined temperature with a maximum threshold; and if the determined temperature is less than the maximum threshold, controlling the engine by decrementing the richness of operation by a predetermined value and jointly incrementing by a predetermined value a level of exhaust gases recirculated between the exhaust circuit and the inlet circuit of the combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 10619582
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for estimating the flow rate QEGR of exhaust gases recirculated through an exhaust gas recirculation valve connecting an exhaust circuit and an intake circuit of a combustion engine, the method including the steps: —of determining a difference in pressure ?P between the upstream and downstream sides of the valve, determining a density ?EGR of the recirculated exhaust gases passing through the valve, determining a corrected effective area Seff_cor of the valve, estimating the flow rate QEGR of the recirculated exhaust gases from these three parameters.

  • Publication number: 20160348573
Abstract: The present invention relates to an assembly (1) for a combustion engine (10) comprising an electric compressor (5) and an air intake system, the air intake system comprising a double manifold (2) at the inlet to which there is a valve (4) configured to allow the intake gases to circulate in the manifold (2) and/or to allow the intake gases to bypass the electric compressor (5). The double manifold (2) comprises a swirl manifold (22) and a filling manifold (21), fed by two independent inlets, which can be closed off by the valve (4) independently of one another.
