  • Patent number: 9770312
Abstract: Dental implant having a socket arrangement having the shape of a regular octagon which is partly interrupted by outwardly extending notches being parallel or parallel and partly inclined with respect to the longitudinal center axis of the implant, the inclination being such as to taper inwardly from their coronal end, wherein interrupting and outwardly extending ridges extending from the notches in an apical direction of the dental implant, first contact surfaces being adapted to engage and rotationally secure an abutment, and wherein second contact surfaces extend from the notches within the ridges in the direction of the longitudinal center axis, the second contact surfaces being adapted to engage with an insertion tool; and wherein the notches are positioned at sides or at corners of the regular octagon.

  • Patent number: 9757214
Abstract: A threaded dental implant to be screwed into a jawbone for supporting at least one abutment and/or a dental superstructure, and having a socket arrangement with a first section and a second section with respective geometrical profiles around a longitudinal center axis of the implant. The first section cooperates with the abutment for securing the abutment in a determined position in the implant. The second section cooperates with an insertion tool for screwing the implant into the jawbone. The first section includes an annular coronal contact surface on top of an opening centric at a coronal end of the implant, followed in an apical direction by a first tapered section having a diameter decreasing in the apical direction, by a first cylindrical section, by first anti-rotational elements and by a threaded section.

  • Patent number: 9468507
Abstract: Insertion tool for transmitting torque from a drive tool to a dental implant, having a tool shaft including, at its apical end a dental implant engagement section including a torque applying unit to engage the dental implant such that torque can be transmitted from the insertion tool to the implant, a drive tool engagement section coronal of the dental implant engagement section including a primary torque receiving unit to engage the drive tool such that torque can be transmitted from the drive tool to the insertion tool, and a break zone arranged between the drive tool and dental implant engagement sections and designed to break upon application of a predetermined amount of torque. The shaft includes, between the dental implant engagement section and the break zone, an auxiliary torque receiving unit to engage a drive tool such that torque can be transmitted from the drive tool to the insertion tool.

  • Publication number: 20140294665
Abstract: Precipitation hardened alloy on the basis of copper, zinc, nickel and manganese exhibiting a high strength and ductility with values similar to those of stainless steels in combination with excellent machinability. The inventive alloy family is characterized by fine fibre-like or globular precipitates that emerge during intermediate temperature annealing treatments, which in case of the unleaded variations significantly improves the machinability. The alloy of invention is particularly suited for free machining applications such as the production of pen tips and reservoirs for writing implements of reduced tip dimensions, where conventional Cu—Ni—Zn—Mn alloys fail due to lack of strength and where the corrosion resistance in gel-based inks is insufficient without restriction to other fields of application.
