  • Patent number: 10326592
Abstract: Various features described herein may include supervision or control of a cryptographic signal necessary for encryption or decryption. Specifically, key management may be performed, wherein the key is deposited or retrieved to or from a third party. For example, data may be encrypted. The encrypted data may be unencrypted by using a key, which may be stored on a different device (e.g., a server). The different device may perform authenticating a device requesting access to the key, determining a recovery key for the encrypted data, and providing the recovery key for the encrypted data. The recovery key may then be used to recover access to the encrypted data. Thus, the key may be deposited for escrow by the different device until such time that the key is necessary for recovery of the encrypted data, at which time the key may be retrieved for decryption of the encrypted data.

  • Patent number: 5565910
Abstract: A data and television network for digital computer workstations that operate on a local area network (LAN) to exchange data. The network includes a private branch exchange (PBX) having a plurality of television ports for transmitting and receiving television signals, an electronic switch for selectively connecting each television port with any other television port, and a control computer (PC), connected to the LAN and to the switch, for decoding data messages received from a workstation via the LAN and controlling the interconnection of the television ports by the switch in response thereto. A software program, stored in and operable on the computer of each workstation, generates the data messages to be transmitted via the LAN to the control computer of the PBX.

  • Patent number: 4414587
Abstract: A plural channel playback system comprising magnetic recording tape movable past a reproducing transducer head having at least one transducing element for each track is shown together with skew detecting means. At least two of the tracks are recorded with digital data signals comprising equal length data words with a parity bit, with the parity bits being simultaneously recorded along the tracks. Parity bit lock-on circuits are responsive to outputs from two tracks, which lock-on circuits generate word clock pulses in synchronization with the recorded parity bit signals. A phase detector responsive to word clock pulses from the parity bit lock-on circuits produces an error signal output proportional to the phase difference between said word clock pulse inputs thereto, which error signal is related to skew. The azimuthal position of the reproducing head relative to the recording tape is adjusted either manually or automatically to minimize the error signal.

  • Patent number: 4320351
Abstract: A differential amplifying system is disclosed which includes a first section having a pair of amplifying channels comprising a pair of operational amplifiers having low noise characteristics, each of which amplifiers has an inverting input, a noninverting input, and an output terminal. Input capacitors are provided for differentially connecting an input signal to be amplified to the noninverting inputs of said pair of amplifiers. Balanced negative feedback resistance circuits are provided for connecting the output terminals of the amplifiers to their own inverting inputs. The noninverting amplifier inputs are connected to ground through a balanced pair of tapped resistance networks. Balanced positive feedback circuits, each including a resistor, connect the amplifier output terminals to the taps on the associated resistance networks for positive feedback to said noninverting amplifier inputs thereby increasing the effective input resistance of said amplifying channels.
