  • Patent number: 8705930
Abstract: A breakout assembly in accordance with one aspect of the invention includes a housing including a tubular body defining a passage extending from a first end to an opposite second end of the body. An interior surface of the body includes a plurality of longitudinal guides, the interior surface further including a stop. The tubular body defines a plurality of openings extending through the body on opposite sides of the stop. The breakout assembly further includes a cap which is slidably received within the body of the housing, wherein notches within the cap receive the guides of the housing, and wherein the cap is engageable with the stop. The cap defines a plurality of internal openings extending through the cap. A multi-fiber cable can be received within the body from one end, and a plurality of breakout tubings are received within the body of the opposite end.

  • Patent number: 8385712
Abstract: A cable pulling assembly includes a pulling sleeve, which includes a bore, and a base assembly. The base assembly is selectively engaged with the bore of the pulling sleeve. The base assembly includes a first base member and a second base member. The first and second base members cooperatively define a cable channel. The cable channel includes a plurality of gripping protrusions. A method of assembling a cable pulling assembly includes inserting a portion of a cable into a first channel of a first base member of a base assembly. The first channel in friction fit engagement with the cable. A second base member of the base assembly is engaged to the first base member. The second base member defines a second channel. A connectorized end of the cable is inserted into a bore of a pulling sleeve. The base assembly is engaged to the pulling sleeve.

  • Patent number: 8221169
Abstract: A cable management fanning module includes an elongated base extending in a linear direction defining a longitudinal axis, and having a first end and an opposite second end. A plurality of cable retainers extend from the base, wherein each cable retainer includes a finger extending from the base to a distal end. The first and second ends of the base define an interlocking arrangement having reciprocal shapes, wherein the fanning module is mateable with additional fanning modules on one or both of the first and second ends having a reciprocal shape so as to form a fanning strip.
