  • Publication number: 20090177596
Abstract: An improved method for risk free, or low risk, stock investing using long or very long term options, or synthesized long or very long term options, or synthesized expirationless options These embodiments of the invention disclose a method for risk free, or low risk, stock investment that uses long or very long term options, or synthesized long or very long term options, or expirationless synthesized options. These options or synthesized options produce a very low annualized cost of taking a position in stocks. When these options or synthesized options are used in combination with safe interest bearing investments, risk free stock investment is achieved. These risk free stock investments can be further enhanced by the use of index ETFs (exchange traded funds). It is even possible to produce risk free stock investments that have a higher investment return than a direct investment in the stock.

  • Patent number: 5601083
Abstract: An ultrasound ellipsoidal backprojection device includes a receiver element array with each element related to an image reconstruction point angle of a receiver apodizer, the apodizer having an apodization weighting amplitude function generator for weighting echoes received by the elements as a function of the image reconstruction point angle of thereceiver elements, and an ellipsoidal backprojection image reconstruction processor for reconstructing images from the weighted echoes.

  • Patent number: 5235857
Abstract: A real time 3D medical ultrasound imaging machine is disclosed. Large extended transmitters are used with a great range of different pulse types, giving improved signal to noise ratio. Image reconstruction is done by filtered ellipsoidal backprojection. The filter is an inverse triplet filter. Sparse arrays may be used. The imaging machine additionally promises higher resolution, greater sensitivity 2D real time images displayed simultaneously with the real time 3D image.

  • Patent number: 5134884
Abstract: A method and device for imaging three dimensions with a single pulse of energy is described. An embodiment is disclosed which uses a single monopolar transmitted pulse which radiates through a wide solid angular volume. Echoes caused by objects in this volume are detected by a large diameter, sparse circular array of receiver elements. The time history of each element is stored in a digital memory. A reconstruction processor uses this stored time history to reconstruct an image of the reflecting objects. A simple time of flight algorithm, based on Huygens principle, is used in the reconstruction. The algorithm automatically takes into account transmitted wave front curvature and makes no approximations such as fresnel or fraunhofer in the reconstruction. A circular array of receiver elements can be used, which is axicon, and is focused throughout the imaged volume. A perspective processor controls the reconstruction processor such that the volumetric image may be viewed from various perspectives.

  • Patent number: 4817434
Abstract: A method and apparatus for three dimensional imaging of a solid angular volume utilizing a single pulse of radiated energy is described. An embodiment is disclosed which utilizes a single unipolar acoustic pulse to insonify a three dimensional volume. An array of transducers is used to collect the echoes which are stored in a memory as a replica of the reflected three dimensional wavefield. This data is processed to form a replica of the three dimensional volume of objects responsible for the echoes which is then stored in a second three dimensional memory. The data in this memory is collapsed in the direction of preferred perspective to enable viewing on a cathode ray tube.

  • Patent number: 3952817
Abstract: Basket type core retainer apparatus that includes a core receiving tube having an axially inner end, an annular drill bit or tubular extension connected to the inner end of the core receiving tube and a core retainer cooperatively mounted by the tube and the bit or tubular extension to permit passage of core into the tube and retain a core or a soil sample in the tube. The core retainer includes a mounting ring that mounts a pair of spring finger assemblies to extend axially outwardly thereof. The finger assemblies are each formed from a single sheet of material, the fingers of the assemblies in a closed (core retaining) position having each finger of one assembly in partial overlapping relationship to an adjacent finger of the other assembly and in partial underlapping relationship to an adjacent finger of said other assembly. The fingers are movable to permit passage of a core or a soil sample into the receiving tube.
