  • Patent number: 10674582
Abstract: A lighting system or method adaptively illuminates a face of an architectural panel. An example illumination system includes an optic and a pixel controllable array of solid state light emitters. When installed, the optic is aimed with its optical axis at an acute angle relative to a face of the panel. The array is coupled to selectively emit light from emitters at pixels of the array through the optic toward different regions of the face of the architectural panel. A controller is coupled to control the individual light emitters, via a driver of the emitters. The controller controls the emitters of the array so as to selectively control output intensity of the light emitters when emitting light through the optic toward selected regions of the face of the architectural panel, so as to adaptively illuminate surface topology features of the face of the architectural panel.

  • Patent number: 8789966
Abstract: Described are LED lighting assemblies that may be used to replace a light source in a light fixture. The LED lighting assembly may include a thermally conductive extrusion, a plurality of light emitting diodes, and a diffuser. The diffuser is positioned below the light emitting diodes and also releasably engages the extrusion. The light fixture may include a housing, a reflector assembly with at least one longitudinally extending trough, at least one light source, and at least one lens assembly. As an example, the at least one lens assembly and the at least one light source are removed, and at least one LED lighting assembly is provided. At least a portion of the extrusion of the at least one LED lighting assembly is placed adjacent the at least one longitudinally extending trough. The diffuser of the at least one LED lighting assembly is connected to the at least one longitudinally extending trough.

  • Patent number: 8246204
Abstract: A lighting assembly can comprise a cover and mounting assembly configured to receive and support a board-mounted LED. The cover and mounting assembly can comprise an outer surface with an opening corresponding to each board-mounted LED while otherwise covering the board of the LED. The cover and mounting include mounting points on its underside along with contact points positioned so that when the board-mounted LED is secured with the cover and mounting assembly, wires on the underside are brought into electrical connection with contacts of the board of the LED.
