    Abstract: A method for the production of hydroxyalkylmelamine containing resins wherein melamine, formaldehyde and a hydroxyalkylmelamine are reacted under conditions such that a resin is produced which, when incorporated into a decorative laminate, enhances the post-forming thereof, the resin per se, paper sheets containing said resin, a method for the production of laminates and the laminates per se, are disclosed.
