  • Patent number: 7883744
Abstract: A titanium-copper-nickel based alloy is used for the formation of at least one resistive thin film on a polymer substrate. The alloy comprises 50 to 80% by weight of titanium, 10 to 25% by weight of copper and 10 to 25% by weight of nickel. The thin film has a thickness between about 100 and 160 nanometres.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 21, 2005
Date of Patent: February 8, 2011
    Assignee: H.E.F.
    Inventors: Michel Martin, Frederic Faverjon
  • Publication number: 20080166260
Abstract: Silver alloy compositions having reduced susceptibility to sulphidation and reduced susceptibility to fire stain relative to 92.5% silver 7.5% copper alloy, and having mechanical properties for casting and forming comparable to or better than 92.5% silver 7.5% copper alloy, and having an appearance similar to 92.5% silver 7.5% copper alloy. The silver alloy compositions include at least 92.5% silver 2.0%-4.0% tin; 1.7%-2.6% zinc and 0.50%-1.5% indium.

  • Patent number: 6562471
Abstract: The metal alloy based on aluminium and titanium includes an aluminium content between 80 and 90 atomic percent and a titanium content between 10 and 20 atomic percent. The alloy is microcrystalline and outside thermodynamic equilibrium, the alloy is thereby resistant to oxidation and corrosion and has at the same time remarkable adhesion to polymer materials. The metal alloy can be in the form of a reflecting coating of a thickness ranging between 0.01 and 3 &mgr;m, covered with a protective film of a polymer material. A mirror having specular reflectivity not less than about 65%, good resistance to corrosion and oxidation includes a substrate of a polymer material supporting the reflecting coating.
