  • Patent number: 6053179
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved brush for the application of a liquid, pasty or powdery product. The brush has an active portion comprised of a split tube which houses an insert disposed therein. • Patent number: 5992705
Abstract: The present invention relates to a relative translational driving of a piston-forming part into a body, as well as the application of the device to an applicator apparatus. The device includes blades (5) of which the cutting edge is inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis X-X' of the piston-forming part (4) or of the body (2), the blades being integral with the external wall (4a) of the piston-forming part (4) so as to bite on the internal wall (2a) of the body (2) so that the rotation of the piston-forming part (4) with respect to the body (2), or vice versa, causes the displacement of the part into the body (2). This device applies for example to the fabrication of an applicator used to apply a viscous fluid such as nail varnish, or a solid gel such as a deodorant gel.

  • Patent number: 5951186
Abstract: An applicator apparatus for a more or less viscous liquid product such as nail varnish has a body enclosing a tank provided with a small brush which is associated with a first magnetic element inside of the tank and cooperating with a second magnetic element accommodated in sliding relationship within the body outside of the tank. The tank itself forms a push-button movably mounted axially within the body against the force of a spring arranged between the tank and the second magnetic element in order that in the position of the tank pushed into the body, the brush penetrates into the tank and that in a released portion of the tank within the body, the brush is moved out of the tank.

  • Patent number: 5697720
Abstract: A device for wiping and/or drying a brush for applying a liquid from a container to a portion of the body, such as mascara for eyelashes, and a container including the same. The device includes a sleeve insertable into the neck of the container and having a first open end, a second end provided with articulated flaps, and a wall between the first and second end and provided with lugs radially deformable towards an axis of the sleeve upon insertion of the sleeve into the neck of the container. The lugs constitute a stop for the flaps during the withdrawal of the brush through these flaps while the flaps are, upon insertion of the brush into the container through the sleeve, freely pivoting to permit this insertion.
