  • Patent number: 5775706
Abstract: A skate with in-line wheels, including a shoe that is associated with a frame supporting a plurality of aligned wheels connected to the frame by means of pivot members. A pair of brackets are rigidly coupled to respective lateral sides of the shoe and are associated with front and rear pivot members.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 6, 1995
Date of Patent: July 7, 1998
    Assignee: Nordica S.p.A.
    Inventor: Francesco Caeran
  • Patent number: 5768807
Abstract: A sports shoe, particularly for skates, includes a rigid shell, and a soft innerboot; separate straps for connecting the innerboot to the rigid shell are laterally rigidly coupled to the innerboot and at least partially surround the shell. First and second flaps of the innerboot are fastened to the straps which advantageously do not affect the metatarsal and/or foot instep regions.

Date of Patent: June 23, 1998
    Assignee: Nordica S.p.A.
    Inventors: Francesco Caeran, Alessandro Pozzobon
  • Patent number: 5709396
Abstract: Roller skate with improved comfort including dampers for damping only the forces that are applied to the wheels along axes that are not at right angles to the frame. It is thus possible to improve foot comfort while maintaining optimum transmission of the efforts of the foot to the wheels.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 2, 1997
Date of Patent: January 20, 1998

  • Patent number: 5702113
Abstract: Braking device, particularly for skates, that comprise a shoe composed of a quarter articulated to a shell associated with a frame whereto two or more wheels are pivoted. A rod member is connected to the quarter and is slidingly associated at a seat that acts as a guide and is formed on a support associated with the frame.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5634648
Abstract: Roller skate with improved fit which includes a first front body for supporting and securing the front part of the foot and a second rear body for supporting and securing at least the heel. These bodies are rotatably associated with each other, and each body is provided with a supporting frame for at least one wheel. The articulation between the first body and the second body allows easier skating in improved comfort conditions.

  • Patent number: 5553400
Abstract: A sports shoe, in particular a ski boot, which has a sole and an upper part formed of plastic and which has two pressure-distributing plates arranged on the outside of the upper part in the front instep area, which plates extend from the toe area of the shoe over the instep area and, bent upwardly, along the front side of the shaft of the shoe, and which are supported in the fore-foot part of the upper part for movement in a longitudinal direction of the shoe relative to the upper part and in transverse direction of the shoe, and overlap one another in the closed state of the shoe. At least one of the pressure-distributing plates is mounted in the instep area with one or several hinges on the upper part of the shoe, which hinges enable a swinging movement of this pressure-distributing plate away from the other pressure-distributing plate for opening wide the instep area.

  • Patent number: 5553401
Abstract: A sports shoe, in particular a ski boot, which is designed with a front instep, and the sole and the upper part of which are formed of plastic, and which has two pressure-distributing plates in the instep area, with each of these pressure-distributing plates extending from the toe area of the shoe over the instep area and, bent upwardly, along the front side of the shaft of the shoe. The pressure-distributing plates are supported for movement in a transverse direction of the shoe and for movement in a longitudinal direction of the shoe and with respect to the upper part in the fore-foot area of the upper part by means of flaps extending in transverse direction of the shoe. The two pressure-distributing plates overlap one another in the closed state of the shoe.

  • Patent number: 5524366
Abstract: A ski shoe comprising a shell (1) and a movably hinged shaft 2 of the shoe wherein the shell is formed of an elastic material and has a raised shell part (3) around which the shaft 2 of the shoe extends. The raised shell part (3) carries above the heel a vertical slot (4), which is upwardly open. The shaft 2 of the shoe presses when in a forward position onto the raised shell part (3) so that the slot (4) closes. A spacer (7) is movable in the slot (4) by an adjusting device and depending on its position acts against the closing movement of the slot (4) and thus the forward movement of the shaft 2 of the shoe. For adjustment in a slotted hole, the spacer (7) is supported on one arm (9) of a two-arm bent lever (10) and the other arm (13) of which carries a nut (14), which moves on an axially nonmovable spindle (15). The spindle (15) can be rotated, for example, with a key, which causes the bent lever (10) to carry out a pivoting movement and the spacer (7) to move in the slot (4).
