    Abstract: The present invention relates to a toothbrush for preventing the formation of dental plaque and tartar. The toothbrush comprises a supporting area for bristles connected to a handle which extends along a longitudinal axis. Such a handle comprises a first side and a second side, which are opposite to each other. The first side defines a first recessed portion which extends from the supporting area. The second side defines a further recessed portion which is at least partially longitudinally staggered with respect to the first recessed portion of the first side of the handle.
