    Abstract: A packaging bag comprises a first ply and a second ply joined along an edge defining the closed end of the bag and along side edges of the bag. A mouth of the bag has a first edge on the first ply and a second edge on the second ply, which projects beyond the first edge and comprises a folded over film portion. The margin of the second edge portion is disposed adjacent the first edge so as to provide a substantially constant thickness of the bag across the mouth and projecting portion.
