    Abstract: An improved automatic setting hook apparatus that deploys upon the application of generally opposing, lateral, inward forces generated by the inside of a fish's mouth. The apparatus may be manually placed in a cocked position and then released or set upon the application of the two opposing, lateral, inward forces such that a fish may be hooked without the necessity of a fisherman manually setting the hook in the fish's mouth. One embodiment may be an automatic setting hook apparatus comprising a single wire with at least one integral catch.
