  • Publication number: 20200300394
Abstract: A tube connection system is disclosed that includes a barb connection, a tube received on the barb connection, and a retainer for maintaining the tube over the barb connector. The retainer includes a first elongate strap, a second elongate strap that is parallel to the first elongate strap, and a bridge between said first and second elongate straps, said bridge transversely spacing said first and second elongate straps by a predetermined first distance. The retainer also includes a first lock for locking said first elongate strap and a second lock for locking said second elongate strap.

  • Patent number: 10273996
Abstract: A clamp for sanitary fittings includes a clamp body formed of a first arcuate member and a second arcuate member movable about a hinge assembly from an open configuration to a closed, latched configuration. The hinge assembly detachably couples the first arcuate member to the second arcuate member. The hinge assembly includes an arcuate finger extending from an end of the first arcuate member, a pin-receiving recess formed within the arcuate finger, and a post formed on an end of the second arcuate member. Upon assembly, the arcuate finger cradles around the post and the post fits within the pin-receiving recess.

  • Publication number: 20170284582
Abstract: A male connector includes a shaft including a distal end portion and a proximal end portion. The shaft defines a lumen extending between the distal end portion and the proximal end portion. The distal end portion includes a sealing member that engages a female connector to create a fluid-tight seal when the distal end portion of the male connector is inside the female connector, a latch catch groove proximal to the sealing member, a grip extending from an outer surface of at least part of the shaft, and at least one lug extending distally from the grip partially along the outer surface of the shaft. The latch catch groove engages a latch of the female connector to retain the distal end portion of the male connector inside the female connector. The proximal end portion includes a barb that engages a section of tubing.

  • Patent number: 9695966
Abstract: A quick connect fluid conduit connector includes male and female connector components that releasably engage with each other to fluidically connect two fluid conduits. The female connector component defines a receptacle for receiving a distal end of the male connector component, and a latch in the female connector component is configured to engage with a latch catch groove on the male connector component to reliably secure these components together in a sealed coupling. The latch is a unitary piece having a large release button integrally formed with multiple spring arms, thereby simplifying assembly of the fluid conduit connector and providing redundancy against failure modes. In addition, the female connector component may also include a lock mechanism engaged with the latch for providing additional protection against unintentional disconnection of the male and female connector components.

  • Patent number: 9534721
Abstract: A high pressure fluid conduit connector includes male and female connector components that releasably snap into engagement with each other to fluidically connect two fluid conduits. The male connector component includes opposing latch arms that extend along a majority of the length of the female connector component when these connector components are engaged with each other. As a result, the engagement of latch catches on the latch arms and latching shoulders on the female connector component occurs near a rear proximal end of the female connector component. This enables a maximum amount of deflection of the latch arms for a given force applied by the user to pivot the latch arms, and the manufacturing of the male and female connector components may be reliably performed by conventional molding processes. Therefore, the fluid conduit connector provides reliable and advantageous operation, especially in high pressure fluid contexts.

  • Patent number: 8596688
Abstract: A latch assembly for connection of conduit, the assembly comprising a female portion and a male portion, wherein each of the female portion and the male portion have a shell and a connection device. The connection device of the female portion includes a connection assembly with a molded-in slot, a release button, and a raised rib or alternatively is a connection opening. The connection device of the male portion includes a cantilevered region with a ramped engagement feature or alternatively is a raised cantilevered release button. When connected the cantilevered region or button deflects to accommodate the female portion until the ramped engagement feature or button engages the molded-in slot or connection opening, thus releasing the deflection. Depressing the release button disengages the latch allowing separation of the assembly.
