    Abstract: A system and method is provided for optimizing production from a well. A plurality of sensors are positioned to sense a variety of production related parameters. The sensed parameters are applied to a wellbore model and validated. Discrepancies between calculated parameters in the wellbore model and results based on sensed parameters indicate potential problem areas detrimentally affecting production.
