  • Publication number: 20080160954
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for performing prepaid account balance screening are disclosed. According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for performing prepaid account balance screening. The method includes receiving, at a network entity for processing network signaling messages, a signaling message containing information that identifies a prepaid subscriber, the message being sent from a message source and intended for a message destination. It is determined whether the prepaid subscriber's account balance satisfies a threshold requirement, using prepaid account balance screening data and the information in the signaling message that identifies the prepaid subscriber, where the prepaid account balance screening data is a subset of available prepaid subscriber account information stored in a prepaid subscriber database separate from the prepaid account balance screening data.

  • Publication number: 20070167976
Abstract: An inner support structure for an embolic filtering device includes a tubular member having a first support region for supporting the proximal portion of a filter assembly and a second support region for supporting the distal portion of the filter assembly. The inner support structure facilitates rotation and restricts longitudinal movement of the embolic filtering device relative to a guide wire. Alternatively, the inner support structure includes a bushing coupled to the guide wire and a sleeve with a head on its proximal end positioned within a cavity in the bushing, thereby facilitating rotation and restricting longitudinal movement of the sleeve. The proximal portion of the filter assembly is supported on the sleeve. A sleeve for retaining the struts of an expandable cage of the embolic filtering device includes a central lumen for positioning the sleeve onto a guide wire and peripheral lumens for positioning and retaining the struts.

  • Patent number: 7242759
Abstract: Enhanced Origination Services (EOS) for Toll Free (TF) telephone calls consists of uploading instructions to the SMS/800 National Database, which instructions are subsequently downloaded by Signal Control Points (SCPs) in the United States for the routing of TF telephone calls. When a caller dials a TF number, a communication switching device queries the SCP serving the caller's LATA and routes the call according to the EOS instructions for that TF number. EOS instructions route the call to a POTS number in the originating LATA using an intraLATA Carrier Identification Code. The POTS number is connected to a private gateway, which utilizes the Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) of the POTS number to perform a translation function, which may replace the received DNIS with the DNIS of the originally dialed TF number. The call is routed over the private network using the private network owner's database for routing instructions for the specific TF number.

  • Publication number: 20070083563
Abstract: To export source tablespaces, an auxiliary database system is created and started with a minimum configuration. Copies of versions of the source tablespaces are restored from database backups to the auxiliary database system. A copy of a version of a tablespace is referred to herein as a tablespace instance. The tablespace instances restored from database backups are recovered to a particular point-in-time. A script is then generated. The script can be executed by a database server of the destination database to import the tablespace instances.

  • Publication number: 20060076144
Abstract: A method and apparatus store energy in an energy storage medium located in an energy storage chamber. As a sampling tool descends into the borehole, the energy storage medium is pressurized with hydrostatic pressure. A sample is collected in a sample chamber by pumping formation fluid into the sample chamber against hydrostatic pressure. The energy storage medium applies the energy stored in the energy storage medium to the sample through a pressure communication member. A pressure multiplier member increases the pressure applied on the sample by the energy storage medium through the pressure communication member to keep pressure on the sample. A biasing water pressure is applied to the sample at the surface so that the energy storage chamber can be removed from the sample chamber.

  • Publication number: 20050256908
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a target database on a target platform based on a source database on a source platform is provided. A target database is created on the target platform based on data, metadata (for example, data in the system tablespace and control files), and external objects (for example, password files and externally stored tables) comprised within the source database. Data and metadata stored in tablespaces of the source database are converted to the format compatible with the target platform. The conversion of the data and metadata may be performed either at the source database or the target database. Redo information and undo information of the source database are not copied from the source database to the target database. Certain files, e.g., a password files, and links to externally stored object may be recreated on the target database.

  • Publication number: 20050253739
Abstract: Stored data, such as tablespaces, are transported between different systems having different platforms by converting the format of the stored data into a common format either before or after transmitting the stored data from the source database system to the target database system. The common format may be a format that is universal in that the common format is not machine dependent. The stored data may be kept in the common format at the target database system and never converted to another format. Optionally, the stored data may be converted from the common format to a format associated with the target database system, thereby facilitating backward compatibility. A tool may be provided for performing the conversion. In an embodiment each of the target and source database systems have a copy of the tool.

  • Publication number: 20050128028
Abstract: A waveguide structure including two parallels electrically conducting ground planes (1,2), each of which includes at least one row of spaced apart electrically conducting posts (3). The rows of posts are arranged substantially parallel to one another and the space bounded by the plates and posts defines a guided wave region (4) along which electromagnetic radiation may propagate. The posts are connected to only one of the planes so that there is no physical connection between the two ground planes (1,2). Actuating means may be connected to one or both of the ground planes to cause relative movement there between to thereby alter the electrical response of the waveguide. The direction of the relative movement may such that the distance between the rows of posts (3) is changed and/or the distance between the ground planes (1,2) is changed. Various device may utilize the described waveguide construction, including reconfigurable waveguide filters and antenna structures e.g. slotted waveguide arrays.

  • Publication number: 20040267301
Abstract: An embolic protection device for use in a blood vessel when an interventional procedure is being performed in a stenosed or occluded region to capture any embolic material which may be created and released into the bloodstream during the procedure. The device includes a filtering assembly having a self-expanding strut assembly and a filter element attached thereto. In one embodiment, the filtering assembly is attached to the distal end of a guide wire and is deployed within the patient's vasculature as the guide wire is manipulated into the area of treatment. A restraining sheath placed over the filtering assembly in a coaxial arrangement maintains the filtering assembly in its collapsed position until it is ready to be deployed by the physician. Thereafter, the sheath can be retracted to expose the filtering assembly which will then self-expand within the patient's vasculature.
