  • Patent number: 6217808
Abstract: A plastics material valve for a device for packaging and dispensing a substance. The valve comprises an actuator rod and a valve body, the actuator rod having a passage for passing the substance to be dispensed, the valve comprising closure means suitable for being held in the receptacle by the valve body and suitable for closing said passage, the actuator rod being capable of being displaced in the valve body between a first position in which said closure means close said passage and a second position in which said passage is released to enable the substance to be dispensed, the valve further comprising resilient return means for returning the actuator rod to said first position, the resilient return means comprising at least one bridge of material inter-connecting the actuator rod and the valve body and suitable for deforming elastically and for urging the actuator rod into said first position.

  • Patent number: 5868510
Abstract: A product dispenser includes a receptacle having a cylindrical body that is open at one of its ends, a piston that is axially movable in translation in the body, and a drive screw passing through an orifice in the piston. The orifice is provided with a link suitable for transforming rotary motion of the screw into axial displacement of the piston. The screw is rotated by a drive member accessible to the user, and the link is radially deformable. The link is organized to deform radially in contact with the thread of the screw when the screw is forced to move axially relative to the link, thereby allowing relative axial movement between the screw and the link even if the screw is not rotated.

  • Patent number: 5588566
Abstract: An actuating device for avoiding inadvertent triggering of a dispensing valve, and hence undesired expulsion of packed product, in a simple and economical manner. According to the invention, the device has a fixed annular collar, an actuating plate with a circular base, an articulation area including, for example, a film hinge, and a force activation area. The force activating area of the base includes a radial cutout defining a recess having a bearing surface in which a tongue can engage. The tongue has a free end and a joined end and can assume a locking position and a dispensing position. In the locking position, the free end engages the recess provided in the radial cutout of the plate and abuts the bearing surface to prevent pivoting plate movement. In the dispensing position, the tongue is retracted inside the plate, allowing pivotal movement of the plate around its articulation to the annular collar.
