Abstract: A method for butt joining a band (W) of flexible material, heat-sealing on at least one side and pre-printed on the opposite side, the band (W) being unwound from a parent reel (10), cut longitudinally into strips (W1, W2) and rewound into reels or rolls (20), the method consisting in overlaying the tail edge (L1) of a finished parent reel on top of the leading edge (L2) of a new parent reel, so that the printing of the one coincides with that of the other, cutting the band transversely along a line (R) in the area of overlaying of the edges (L1, L2), removing the ends (E1, E2) trimmed from the edges (L1, L2) and heat sealing on the heat-sealing side of the band (W), along the cutting line (R), a strip of heat-sealing material (S).

Abstract: A package of flexible material, particularly suitable to contain sterilizable food products, has a parallelepiped box shape with a base or bottom wall (2), a top wall (3), a front wall (4), a back wall (5) and two side walls (6, 7), an opening (8) closed by a peelable patch (9) sealed along a track (20) disposed astride the peripheral edge of the opening (8) being provided on the top wall (3), a respective peripheral edge (10) protruding from the base (2) and from the top wall (3).

Abstract: A package (1) of the stand-up type is described, of flexible material, to contain granular or powdery products, comprising a supporting base (2) from which two opposite side walls (3) are erected, joined to the perimeter of said base (2) and joined to each other along the side edges up to a certain height, so as to leave free upper areas (7) of the side walls, coinciding with which a perforated sheet (9) fixed permanently along its edge (5?, 20) on the inside of said side walls of the package is applied, and closed peelably on itself along its edge (5?, 20?) when said upper areas (7) of the side walls are brought together, so as to leave free top flaps (12) which are pulled to bring about the opening of said peelable closure (5?, 20?) and thus the exposure of said perforated sheet (9), through which the product contained in the package (1) can be dispensed.

Abstract: A package made of a flexible material for containing liquid, viscous, pasty, granular or powdered products has a supporting base from which rise two opposite side walls joined to the perimeter of the base and joined to each other along the side edges. Each side wall includes an upper flap joined thereto by a fold line. The package also includes a top wall joined peripherally to the upper flaps of the sidewalls and a peelable closure in at least one portion of the perimeter of the top wall joined to the upper flaps of the sidewalls. The peelable closure is destined to be opened so as to form an opening for discharging the product. On the top wall there are provided gripping elements adapted to be gripped and raised by the user so as to cause the separation of the peelable closure to create the opening for discharging the product.

Abstract: A machine for making packs (2) of infusion products, created by a first sheet (21) of packaging material, forming a recess, in which a batched quantity of product (20) is placed, and a second sheet (22) of packaging material, applied on the first sheet (21) of packaging material and joined thereto peripherally. The machine includes a work assembly (30) for feeding the first sheets (21) to a carrousel (10), operated to rotate on a horizontal axis, in suitable step relation with the feeding of the sheets. The carrousel (10) has, made on its periphery, an ordered series of cavities (11), which receive the first sheets (21) for forming thereon, a respective recess, whose shape is suitable for containing the batched quantity of product (20). A filling group (40) introduces the batched quantity of product (20) into the recess formed on the first sheets (21), connected to the cavities (11) of the carrousel (10).

Abstract: A container of flexible material and a relative production method, whereby the container, with at least three dimensions (sides) is formed from a flat sheet which is die-cut (2) in a polygonal shape from single- or multi-layer material by performing pleating of the portions of pleating (d) near the apexes, so as to raise—with respect to a bottom wall (a)—side walls (b) and connecting walls (c) between the adjacent side walls. A peripheral edge (10) of the blank is then folded over and secured to a stiffening frame, if any, having the same polygonal shape as the bottom of the blank. A covering sheet, also a single- or multi-layer sheet, can cover the container (1) and be removed by peeling or otherwise, an operation with is facilitated by the provision of a pull tab.

Abstract: A one-way degassing valve (4) for containers of aromatic products such as coffee and the like, comprising a valve body (5, 6), a valve element (12) and a filter (17), comprising a selective filter layer (21a), preferably consisting of activated charcoal, which allows the passage of low molecular weight gases, such as carbon dioxide, and retains high molecular weight gases that constitute the product's aroma, and an oxygen and CO2 adsorbing layer (21b), able to eliminate the residual oxygen present in the container and suitably reduce the amount of CO2.

Abstract: A one-way degassing valve (4) for containers of aromatic products such as coffee and the like, comprising a valve body (5, 6), a valve element (12) and a filter (17), comprising a selective filter layer (21a), preferably consisting of activated charcoal, which allows the passage of low molecular weight gases, such as carbon dioxide, and retains high molecular weight gases that constitute the product's aroma, and an oxygen and CO2 adsorbing layer (21b), able to eliminate the residual oxygen present in the container and suitably reduce the amount of CO2.

Abstract: A flexible container for products to be kept separate and mixed before use, made of single-layer or multi-layer plastic material comprising two compartments (11, 12), intended to contain respective products which are kept separate and mixed before use by breaking a line of separation between said compartments, in which the line of separation is obtained by means of a strip (15) of easy-open material interposed between the walls (13, 14) of the container and extending from one side to the other thereof, so that a weld made along said strip (15) is not permanent, but can be broken upon exceeding a certain force.

Abstract: A container made of flexible material, in particular of the so-called bellows type, obtained by successive folding and welding of a sheet material provided with a handle system at its top edge (5), consisting of a cut (9) made in the central part (10) of said edge, in which to insert the fingers, said central part (10) of the edge (5) being reinforced by carrying over onto it material from the outer ends (8) of this edge itself.
