  • Publication number: 20170233124
Abstract: A packaging method for packaging elastomer parts (1), such as stoppers for pharmaceutical containers, the method comprising the following steps: packaging parts (1) in a primary bag (10) made of material that is substantially impermeable to gas; and introducing in said primary bag (10), a nitrogen-based atmosphere, with at least 80% nitrogen; said primary bag (10) being packaged in a secondary bag (20), with a vacuum being applied between said primary bag (10) and said secondary bag (20)

  • Patent number: 7389877
Abstract: An apparatus for packaging electronic components, particularly integrated circuits, which includes a carrier tape into or on which the integrated circuits can be secured, a packing reel, to which is secured the carrier tape, wherein one or more components of the packing reel is composed of a plastic material and a desiccating material, and preferably a copolymer, and optionally an electrostatic dissipating product. The packing reel may further include a humidity indicating system. The apparatus may also be placed within a water and moisture-proof barrier bag for shipment purposes.

    Assignee: Sud-Chemie Inc.
Inventors: Stefan Dick, Michelle Martin, Francois Dessus
  • Patent number: 7335422
Abstract: A moisture-absorbing polymeric material is disclosed which consists of a combination of a thermoplastic material with an absorbing agent. The thermoplastic material is chosen such that when the absorbing agent is added to the thermoplastic material in the molten state and subsequently formed into a product, the absorbing agent tends to migrate towards the surface of the moisture-absorbing polymeric material to form a migration zone, wherein the absorbing agent is more highly concentrated in the surface of the polymer material than towards the interior.

Date of Patent: February 26, 2008

  • Patent number: 7201959
Abstract: A moisture-absorbing polymeric material is disclosed which comprises a combination of a thermoplastic material with an absorbent. The thermoplastic material is chosen such that when the absorbent is added to the thermoplastic material in the molten state, the absorbent will tend to migrate towards the surface of the moisture-absorbing polymeric material. This results in a concentration gradient for the absorbent wherein the desiccant is more highly concentrated in an outer layer of the polymer material than towards the center. In this way, more absorbent is pushed towards the surface where it can more easily absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere.
