Abstract: The present invention provides cell lines expressing endogenous PGD2-specific receptors, methods for increasing expression of the receptors and assays utilizing the hereindisclosed cell lines for identifying modulators of the PGD2-specific receptors. Increasing expression of PGD2-specific receptors is achieved by treating the disclosed cell lines with an agent that induces differentiation.

Abstract: The present invention identifies different activities mediated by eosinophil PGD2 receptors and features methods measuring the ability of a compound to modulate such activities. Activities mediated by eosinophil PGD2 receptors include those associated with CRHT2 and those associated with the DP receptor. Activities identified herein as associated with eosinophil CRHT2 include a change in cell morphology, degranulation, and a specific chemokinetic effect. Activities identified herein as associated with the eosinophil DP receptor include resistance to apoptosis.

Abstract: A device built-in in a housing and capable to determine a pressure force in a quantitative way has been provided, the device including a storage phosphor panel or plate having storage phosphors essentially having tribostimulable properties, thereby providing energy conversion of the phosphors by means of pressure force or pressure energy to be determined.
