    Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for monitoring microseismic activity in a formation. The method and apparatus include placing a tool string having a shuttle including a sensor thereon in a stimulation well, and activating the shuttle to acoustically couple the sensor to an inner surface of a casing. The sensor is acoustically decoupled from the tool string. Fluid is then injected into the formation via the tool string. The sensor is reengaged with the tool string. The tool string may then be removed from the stimulation well or moved to another position along the wellbore.

    Abstract: Compositions of lost circulation materials are provided that are useful for identifying the location of fluid loss in a wellbore. The compositions include additives which enhance a property of the composition such that they can be detected by an LWD or MWD tool capable of measuring the property when the composition is deployed in a region of loss, and can be distinguished by the LWD or MWD tool from the formation and mud fluid. Methods are also provided for using the composition to detect the location of fluid loss and for controlling the loss of fluid from the wellbore. The methods involve deploying the compositions in loss regions by adding the compositions to drilling mud, and measuring a property of the compositions using an LWD or MWD tool.

The rubber pocket may contain cement particles, rubber particles, swellable particles, cement filled rubber particles, cement filled swellable particles, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate, iron (III) oxide, calcium sulfoaluminate, clay, magnetic particles and/or reactants such as crosslinkers, retardants or epoxy. The particles may be bulk spheres, bulk fibers, hollow spheres, hollow fibers, etc. The rubber pocket or bladder may also be fully or partially filled with fluids such as polymer reactants. The pocket may also be empty or contain a small volume of reactants. The slurry or epoxy or other type of fluid and granular solid or injectable matter can be injected after the completion positioning downhole.

In some embodiments the kinetic energy causes magnets to move with respect to coils in order to produce electrical energy. An anchor holds the device in place, and permits the device to be retrieved or relocated. A flexure or compliant membrane that helps determine the position of the magnets with respect to coils is defined by mechanical properties that permit oscillatory movement in response to the inputted kinetic energy. The device can be tuned to different vibration and flow regimes in order to enhance energy conversion efficiency. Further, the device may be mounted in a secondary flow path such as a side package or annular tube.

The treatment fluid is substantially free of any formic acid or precursor formic acid. In certain embodiments, the corrosion inhibitor system comprises a mixture of at least one of an alkenyl phenone or ?,?-unsaturated aldehyde, an unsaturated ketone or unsaturated aldehyde other than the alkenyl phenone and ?,?-unsaturated aldehyde, a dispersing agent, an extender and an alcohol solvent. A corrosion inhibitor intensifier may also be used in certain embodiments, which may include a mixture of cuprous iodide and cuprous chloride.
