  • Publication number: 20120131634
Abstract: The invention is a method of executing an application embedded in a portable electronic device. The application comprises one instruction handling an object. The electronic device comprises a firewall which is intended to check the compliance of the object with preset security rules. The portable electronic device comprises a volatile memory area intended to store a data set uniquely associated to the object. The data set comprises an indicator reflecting the result of the checking of the compliance of the object with the preset security rules. The method comprises the following steps before execution of the instruction, checking the presence in the volatile memory area of a data set associated to the object and comprising an indicator reflecting a successful checking of security rules, and if successful in the checking of the data set, authorizing the execution of the instruction without further security rules checking done by the firewall.

  • Publication number: 20100178945
Abstract: The invention relates to a personal token for a mobile telecommunication network, hosting application software. The personal token is operable to receive an over-the-air SMS message encapsulating commands directed to the application, open the SMS and extract the commands from the SMS. The steps of opening the SMS and extracting the commands from the SMS are performed by a software entity in the personal token which is distinct from the application, so that the software entity initiates transmission of the extracted commands to the application.

  • Publication number: 20100101806
Abstract: This mandrel (10) comprises a body (16; 22) and a radially expandable annular sealing element (18) which comprises a centring arrangement (46) and a closure arrangement (44) which can be deployed radially between a contracted configuration and a dilated configuration. It further comprises an anchoring element (20) which is positioned at a longitudinal distance from the sealing element (18) and is radially expandable between a retracted state and a deployed state. The mandrel (10) comprises sequencing means (24) which are capable of radially deploying the closure arrangement (44) after the anchoring element (20) and the centring arrangement (46). In an at least partly deployed configuration, the centring arrangement (46) defines at least one axial passage (64) which extends through the annular sealing element (18). • Publication number: 20080034423
Abstract: A method of managing a multi-application electronic device, such as a multi-application smart card, of the type having an operating system which is designed to support a plurality of applications. Each of the applications belongs to an application provider having a unique security domain which is initially installed on the card. Upon receipt of a command for an application to be loaded onto the device, the operating system verifies that the application is associated with a security domain corresponding to the security domain of the application provider. In the event of successful verification, the operating system authorizes the loading and installation thereof on the card, connecting the same automatically to the security domain.

  • Patent number: 6047474
Abstract: A receiving cavity having a simple geometrical shape is machined in a metallic block having a simple geometrical shape made of a first metallic material. A member made of the second material is made and fixed into the cavity to produce a composite bimetallic block, and the turbine blade is machined from the composite block, the body of the blade being machined from the metallic block made of the first material and the insert being machined from the member of simple shape made of the second material. The member made of the second material can be prefabricated and welded into the cavity of made by depositing and solidifying a molten metal in the cavity.
