  • Patent number: 11149577
Abstract: A device for controlling the clearance between a rotor and a stator surrounding same, which is carried out by modifying the delivery flow carried in a rotor recess in order to provide a bleed flow that prevents the gases from the flow section from penetrating into the recess. A valve can partially close the delivery circuit, thus reducing the cooling of the rotor structure and allowing the expansion thereof and the reduction of the clearance with the stator, for certain operating speeds including cruise operating speeds. In addition, the delivery air is heated more at a lower flow rate, especially if it is made to follow a bypass provided with meanders in the hottest portions of the circuit.

  • Publication number: 20150299979
Abstract: A boom assembly for a construction machine is disclosed. The boom assembly may have a first side barrier and a second side barrier spaced apart from each other. The first and second side barriers may have a first pin receiving groove and a second pin receiving groove, respectively. The boom assembly may have a boom including a pin receiving bore. The boom assembly may also have a boom mounting pin extending through the pin receiving bore, the first pin receiving groove, and the second pin receiving groove. Further, the boom assembly may have a first mounting member mounted on the boom mounting pin at the first pin receiving groove and being removably attached to the first side barrier. In addition, the boom assembly may have a second mounting member mounted on the boom mounting pin at the second pin receiving groove and being removably attached to the second side barrier.

  • Publication number: 20060275074
Abstract: Linkage pins are commonly used to join two members to provide a rigid connection or to function as a pivot point. They are often manufactured from piece parts that ideally are provided with a protective coatings before assembly. The joint needs to be able to withstand the harsh environments linkage pins may be used in and the joining process must cause minimal disturbance to the coating to prevent it from having to be reapplied after manufacturing. The present invention discloses a method and linkage pin including a mechanical deformation to form a joint. The components are arranged in a particular orientation to provide optimum durability by aligning them in a direction dependent on the direction of the flexing caused by the forces acting upon the pin.

  • Patent number: 4716659
Abstract: A method and installation for removing water from, drying and/or conditioning fibrous, porous or filament materials. A stream of gaseous fluid is caused to flow through an enclosure, by means of a plurality of flow means, so that it passes through the materials to be treated under reduced pressure and/or with over pressure, from the inside towards the outside of the materials, or vice versa, and a stream of water vapor is caused to pass through said materials so as to accelerate the removal of water at the beginning of drying and/or to rapidly raise the temperature of the treated materials and/or to spray said materials, if desired, during drying.
