  • Publication number: 20050176557
Abstract: A children's play gym including a frame with an elongated tubular top rail having an inside surface, an outside surface and a lengthwise keyway between said surfaces, a plurality of legs, each leg having an upper end wall encircling the top rail, and an anchor releasably anchoring the upper end wall of each leg to the top rail. Each anchor includes a bracket bridging the keyway at that inside surface, and a threaded fastener extending through a hole in the end wall and through said keyway and being threaded into the bracket. This enables the upper end wall of each leg to be slid relative to the top rail and then clamped to the top rail at any location therealong by tightening the threaded fastener.

  • Publication number: 20050075177
Abstract: A ramp system for bikers, skateboarders and skaters has first and second ramps arranged back to back, each ramp having first and second ends and an upper surface extending between those ends. A connection connects the first ends of the ramps so that the ramps form a cusp or peak and the second ends of the ramps are spaced-apart and define a plane spaced below the cusp or peak. Preferably, a coping rail extends along the cusp or peak to form a spine which may function as a grind rail.

  • Publication number: 20040200015
Abstract: A knock-down quarter pipe for bikers, skateboarders and in-line skaters has a base, and a plurality of legs extending up from the base, the legs having lower ends lying in a common plane. A deck is supported by the legs at a selected elevation above the base, the deck having front and rear edges and a surface extending between those edges that is substantially parallel to the plane. A ramp extends from the front edge of the deck down to the plane, that ramp having a lower leading edge that is located in that plane and spaced in front of a base. Preferably, the base and at least the lower end portion of the ramp may be filed with a fluid medium to add weight to and lower the center of gravity of the quarter pipe. Preferably also, a rigid coping rail is located between the front edge of the deck and the ramp which can function as a grind rail.

  • Publication number: 20040077418
Abstract: An adjustable jump bar stand for skaters, skateboarders and the like includes an elongated post, a base for receiving a lower end segment of the post so that the post is supported vertically and an elongated jump bar having an end swivelly and adjustably connected to the post so that the jump bar extends out horizontally from the post at a variable elevation thereon and can swivel about the post. The jump bar provides an obstacle over which skaters can jump while being forgiving enough to avoid injury to the skaters.

  • Patent number: 6551192
Abstract: Obstacle apparatus includes at least one ramp for launching a bicycle, skateboard or rollerblade rider into the air. The apparatus may also include a second similar ramp and a bridge for releasably connecting the elevated ends of the two ramps in-line so as to produce an in-line obstacle over which riders may roll. The apparatus may also include a grind rail which may be releasably attached to the elevated end of one or both of the ramps so that the ramp/rail assembly may be used by skateboarders and the like to perform various acrobatic feats. The apparatus components are rugged and reliable yet they can be made in quantity at minimum cost. Furthermore, because of their unique designs, they may be shipped and stored in a minimum amount of space.

  • Patent number: 6547221
Abstract: A knock-down grind rail for skateboards and rollerblades is composed of at least two tubes held in axial alignment by a tubular insert inserted into opposing ends of the tubes. The tubes are clamped together end to end by a special, generally U-shaped clip having arms which are bent toward one another to form elbows. The free ends of the clip are inserted through holes present in the tubes adjacent the opposing ends thereof, the spacing of the hole being comparable to the spacing of those arm ends. As the clip arms are pushed into the tubes up to the elbows, the arms are sprung apart thereby exerting a clamping force on the tubes. Suitable supports are provided to support the tube above the ground or other support surface.

  • Patent number: 3991690
Abstract: Apparatus for attachment to a flue includes a series of chambers for receiving hot products of combustion in the form of gases, cooling the gases and removing noxious impurities through condensation. A blower unit is connected to the series of chambers to add fresh air to the gas flow, hold hot gases down, create a draft from the conventional flue through the system and exhaust a flow of clean air from the system.
