  • Publication number: 20230053244
Abstract: Peripheral retinal OCT can be used to generate peripheral retinal OCT images allowing for the peripheral retina to be viewed. A peripheral retinal vision system can determine that a set of fiducial markers is in a field-of-view of at least one camera and record positional data comprising a contact lens position and angle with respect to an OCT imaging system having OCT scanning mirrors in a first position. The system can determine whether a retinal layer is in an OCT scan captured while the set of fiducial markers is in the field-of-view of the at least one camera and the OCT scanning minors are in the first position; and for an OCT scan having he retinal layer and being captured while the set of fiducial markers is in the field-of-view of the at least one camera and the OCT scanning minors are in the first position, store that OCT scan.

  • Publication number: 20220347370
Abstract: A method for identifying saline solution in an aspirated fluid mixture during vitrectomy or another vitreoretinal surgery includes estimating a fluid property value of the mixture via an electronic control unit (ECU). The mixture includes saline solution and either vitreous or silicone oil. The method includes identifying the saline solution as a primary constituent fluid of the fluid mixture, via the ECU, based on the fluid property value, and activating an indicator device in response to the primary constituent fluid being the saline solution. An automated system for identifying saline solution in the aspirated fluid mixture includes the indicator device and the ECU. A computer-readable medium includes instructions, executable by a processor to identify an aspirated fluid mixture during a vitreoretinal surgery, with execution of the instructions by the processor causing the processor to perform the method.

  • Publication number: 20220000605
Abstract: An implantable device for supporting an artificial intraocular lens in an eye having an anterior segment of a capsular bag, an iris, and a sclera. The device includes a posterior platform having an anterior-facing surface and an inner wall defining, at least in part, a central aperture. When the device is implanted in the eye, light passes through the intraocular lens and the central aperture of the posterior platform towards the retina. The device includes at least one awning positioned over the anterior-facing surface of the posterior platform forming at least one recess anterior to the posterior platform. The device is configured to be deployed in the eye posterior of the iris so that no portion of the device rests in contact with the sclera after implantation. Related tools, systems, and methods are provided.

  • Patent number: 5240212
Abstract: A toilet seat and lid holder is disclosed for holding a toilet lid and toilet seat in the upright position against the toilet tank of the toilet. The holder includes a securing bracket for releasably connecting the holder to the toilet tank. In one embodiment, the holder securing bracket is a U-shaped bracket which fits over the upper edge of the toilet tank under the toilet tank cover. An L-shaped arm is connected to the bracket and has a portion which extends vertically upwards away from the bracket. An elongate flexible connector is connected at one end to the end of the L-shaped arm spaced from the bracket. A weight is attached at the other end of the flexible connector and which hangs down over the toilet seat and cover being held down by gravity thereby holding the toilet seat and cover against the toilet tank in the upright position.
