  • Patent number: 9751713
Abstract: A media stapling system for an image forming device. The media stapling system comprises a stapler mounted on a motor-driven carriage assembly moveably coupled to a track having portions extending along at least two contiguous edges and included corner of a media stack to be stapled. The carriage assembly and track enables stapling in multiple positions along the long and/or short edges and corners of media of varying sizes positioned in a media support. The track is mounted on a planar frame positioned at an angle from horizontal, providing a relatively small footprint. A controller is in operable communication with the media stapling system and an user interface. The user interface provides a plurality of predetermined stapling patterns for selection with the controller controlling the media stapling system to staple the media stack using a selected one of the plurality of stapling patterns.

  • Patent number: 6596307
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for producing cefaclor crystalline bulk material having a dissolution rate in a capsule of ≧80% in water in 30 minutes. One process route includes reducing the water content of cefaclor dihydrates or bulk material containing cefaclor dihydrate to produce a cefaclor form having a water content ≦2%. The cefaclor having the lower water content can then be rehydrated to a water content from 3.0 to 6.5% without adversely affecting the dissolution rate. An alternative process includes the addition of at least 0.05% of cefaclor related substances to inhibit conversion of the monohydate to the dihydate form.

  • Patent number: 6567620
Abstract: Toner is conserved in an image forming apparatus, such as an electrophotographic printer (e.g., laser printer), by varying the interpage gap when approaching an exhaustion of the recording media supply (“paper out”). A supply level sensor is used to determine whether the supply of discrete recording media (e.g., paper sheets) is above or below a predetermined level. A smaller value interpage gap is used when the supply level is above the predetermined level. The interpage gap is automatically lengthened to a second larger value when the sensed media supply level drops below the predetermined level. The longer second interpage gap allows for “paper out condition” that may result from printing of sheet N−1 to be determined prior to image formation beginning for sheet N. The interpage gap may be reset to the smaller value when the supply has been refilled to above the pre-determined level.

  • Patent number: 5350845
Abstract: A process for the conversion of a 4-chlorosulfonyl azetidinone (a) to a 3-hydroxy-3-cephem-sulfoxide ester (d) by subjecting an intermediate comprising a tin containing Lewis acid-type Fiedel-Crafts catalyst and 3-exomethylene cepham to ozonolysis.

  • Patent number: 5126446
Abstract: 3-Exomethylenecepham sulfoxide esters are obtained in improved yields via cyclization of 3-methyl-2-(4-chlorosulfinyl-2-oxo-3-amino-1-azetidinyl)-3-butenoic acid esters under anhydrous conditions with a Lewis acid-type Friedel-Crafts catalyst in the presence of a nitro compound, e.g., nitromethane, nitroethane, nitropropane or nitrobenzene.

  • Patent number: 4295609
Abstract: A drinking fountain of the wall hung type having a push bar actuator operable and usable by a handicapped occupant of a wheel chair without assistance by others. A cabinet is adapted to be mounted on a wall, and a control valve is actuated by an inwardly depressible push bar in the front wall thereof which is supported by pivot means and the push bar operates a control valve to cause a stream of drinking water to be dispensed in an upward trajectory from a drinking spout mounted upon the cabinet. The push bar is capable of being actuated by gently pushing either end or the middle of the bar inwardly with a return spring providing automatic shutoff when the push bar is released.
