    Abstract: A covered gutter assembly utilizing bi-directional vertical plates and a bi-directional vertical plate. A gutter trough and hood are secured to either or both sides of the bi-directional vertical plate, so that only a single design for the vertical plate is required for right end or left end terminations. Provisions for securing the hood and the trough to the vertical plate are provided as mirror images on opposed sides of the vertical plate. The bi-directional vertical plate is provided with channels that extend substantially around the entire perimeter of the vertical plate, and which further include guide slopes and reduced locking channels to assure precise securing of the trough and hood to the vertical plate.
