Abstract: A coated article which includes a cement fiberboard substrate and a radiation-curable coating system applied to the substrate. The coating system includes an aqueous dispersion of water-dispersible polymer particles, one or more olefinic compounds and water, and may be provided in the form of one or more coating compositions that may be applied in one or more layers, wherein each of the coating compositions is preferably an aqueous composition, or can be mixed with another composition (e.g., on the substrate) to form an aqueous composition.

Abstract: An operation training simulation system for a computer numerical control (CNC) machine includes a physical control device for inputting control and operation commands, a software simulator connected with the physical control device, a transmission apparatus connecting the physical control device with the software simulator and a simulation display electrically connected to the software simulator. The software simulator generates machining and operation simulations based on the inputted control and operation conditions through the physical control device, and the simulation display visualizes the machining and operation simulations generated by the software simulator. Therefore, using the operation training simulation system for CNC machine not only eliminates the consumptive materials cost but also solve the personal injury problem. Consequently, the learning efficiency of the trainees and the familiarization to machine are raised in this way.

Abstract: Several folding methods for cardboard pallets are disclosed. A unit of the present invention is formed by a single piece of cardboard. First, the two side portions are folded up towards the centerline. Then, the cardboard piece is folded up along the centerline. Next, the two end portions are folded outwards to a right angle. Now, a unit with a “T” shaped cross section and an enhanced strength is formed.

Abstract: A computer numerical control (CNC) wireless transmission system comprises a direct numerical control (DNC) server, which converts the numerical control program to the radio data for transmission. The DNC server connects to an access point, which has an antenna for the transmission of the numerical control data in radio frequency. The wireless transmitter can receive the radio data transmitted from the antenna of the access point. Furthermore, the wireless transmitter has high mobility, which allows the CNC wireless transmission system itself to have flexible arrangement in positioning.

Abstract: A USB hub comprises a USB mainframe unit for connecting to a computer through a connecting wire so as to support second USB expansion units to connect other peripherals; at least one fist USB expansion unit having a bus; the fist USB expansion unit supporting sound outputs; the logic switch having one end connected between the fist USB expansion unit and a USB controller; and another end of the logic switch being connected to a power supply end of the USB mainframe unit or an external power source. The USB mainframe unit, second USB mainframe units, USB controller, and logic switch are contained within a casing; the fist USB expansion unit is at a top surface of the casing for receiving a device uprightly. The casing is installed with a first plug connected to the external power source and a second plug connected to an earphone or a trumpet.

Abstract: The system and method of the present invention is directed to emulating and configuring any of a plurality of electronic input devices. A system in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention comprises an interface and an emulator. The interface is for selecting and configuring an electronic input device from a plurality of electronic input devices, and the emulator is for emulating the electronic input device. Preferably, the plurality of electronic input devices comprise any two or more of a scroll wheel, a mouse, a joy stick, a steering wheel, an analog button, and a touch bar. Also in a preferred embodiment, the interface is an Application Programming Interface (API) and the emulator comprises a finger swipe sensor for receiving user input.

Abstract: A PC card device with an express card comprises an Express Card having an inserting end; a USB connector; and an adaptor; the adaptor having a circuit board; the circuit board being installed with a USB interface; one end of the adaptor being connected to the USB connector; another end of the adaptor having a conduction portion; the conduction portion being inserted into and electrically connected to an inserting end of the Express Card. In another design, one end of the adaptor is connected to the USB connector through a connecting wire. Another end of the adaptor has a conduction portion. For example, a modem relay method for use by a first gateway device in communication with a calling modem comprises the exemplary steps of: receiving a call from the calling modem for establishing a communication with a remote modem; requesting a second gateway device to place a call to the remote modem for establishing the communication; transmitting ANSam to the calling modem for a predetermined period of time according to an ANSam message received from the second gateway device in an RFC2833 message via a packet network; monitoring for detection of a CM signal from the calling modem; monitoring for detection of an AA signal from the calling modem; monitoring for receipt of a modulation type message from the second gateway device; and monitoring for receipt of a pass through mode message from the second gateway device.

Abstract: A veneered wood product is made using a multilayer finishing system wherein at least one of the subsurface layers comprises a UV cured cationically polymerized moiety. Coatings based on UV curable cationically polymerizable moieties appear to be less sensitive to UV overexposure and more adherent to wood fibers than corresponding coatings based on UV curable free radically polymerizable moieties. The multilayer wood veneer finishing system can provide improved intercoat adhesion or improved veneer check resistance, especially under factory conditions.

Abstract: A calculator comprises an input having an UNDO key for recovering cleared values. When displayed data or recorded data of memory is cleared by pressing one of deletion keys, the cleared data is pushed into a stack register. A flag register is set when the displayed data or recorded data is cleared by a deletion key. When the UNDO key is pressed and the flag register indicates that the displayed data or recorded data was cleared by the deletion key, a data entry is popped from the stack register, so as to recover the cleared value.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining the vibration damping characteristics of an automotive brake structure measures the vibration response of a brake structure during application of random-frequency wide spectrum excitation, followed by measuring vibration of the structure at particularly noted modal frequencies, using a confined bandwidth random-frequency vibratory excitation. The method and apparatus may be used also to assess the bonding or attachment characteristics of damping materials.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of counting down to an integral time point has an integral time point selector for setting an integral time point. A timer serves for recording the current time. A synchronous calculating unit serves for reading the integral time point from the integral time point selector and reading the current time from the timer. The time interval from the current time to the integral time point is calculated as a counting down time period. A counter serves for reading the counting down time interval from the synchronous calculating unit and starting to count down.
