  • Patent number: 11964821
Abstract: Apparatus comprising a process belt includes a woven rectangular planar structure with opposed longitudinal ends that are joined together to form an endless belt. The exemplary woven planar structure includes metal and glass warp fibers that extend in the longitudinal direction, and metal and/or glass weft fibers which extend transversely of the warp fibers. The diameter of the glass warp fibers is substantially greater than the diameter of the metal warp fibers which causes the outer surfaces of the glass fibers to extend outwardly of the metal warp fibers on the outer surface. This configuration causes items engaged with the outer surface to be operatively engaged with only the glass warp fibers. In exemplary arrangements a coating comprised of fluoropolymer extends on the fiber surfaces which comprise the entire outer surface of the planar structure and the belt.

  • Patent number: 9527526
Abstract: A method operates a steering system of a motor vehicle having a steerable wheel controlled using a steering wheel. The method begins by ascertaining a prevailing control angle of the steering wheel of the motor vehicle. A variable steering ratio between the prevailing control angle and a steering angle of the steerable wheel is defined. A static steering ratio from the variable steering ratio to set the steering angle of the steerable wheel is then selected.

  • Publication number: 20100181247
Abstract: A dewatering belt for flue gas desulphurisation installations consists of a single-layered fabric, in which the warp and weft are respectively formed from monofil threads and in which the diameter of the thread type of the weft is greater than the diameter of the thread type of the warp.

  • Publication number: 20100043992
Abstract: Increasingly higher requirements are imposed on the quality and the speed of the production process during the manufacture of nonwovens. It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a process belt for improved nonwoven manufacture. This object is achieved with a process belt for nonwoven or paper manufacture which comprises a device for electrical charging of the process belt. Such a device makes it possible to influence the deposition of nonwoven material on the belt and also to optimally configure the contact between belt and nonwoven material during nonwoven manufacture. In particular, during the transfer of nonwoven material from one belt to another or another installation part, the electrostatic charge assists by repulsion and attraction reactions between nonwoven material and belt.

  • Publication number: 20080087527
Abstract: With a process belt, more preferably for the forming of a nonwoven, electrostatic charges can be safely prevented if a mixed fabric with a metal component and a plastic component is used as process belt. The metal and plastic components are interwoven with one another.
