  • Publication number: 20230285920
Abstract: The invention relates to processes for recycling waste materials containing valuable metals in a fluidized-bed furnace (100), comprising the phases I, start-up of the fluidized-bed furnace; and II, continuous reprocessing of the waste materials containing valuable metals, characterized in that the fluidized-bed furnace (100) is operated autothermally during the phase II of continuous reprocessing of the waste materials containing valuable metals, with the process temperature being regulated via the fill level of the fluidized-bed furnace (100) and the flow rate of material through the furnace. The invention further provides an apparatus comprising a fluidized-bed furnace (100) for recycling waste materials containing valuable metals in a continuous autothermal process.

  • Publication number: 20080009408
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a catalyst, which process comprises the steps of: i) mixing an alumina precursor with combustible carbon-containing fibres with a diameter in the range of from 0.5 to 5 ?m and a length of no greater than 100 ?m in an amount in the range of from 20 to 40 wt % based on the total dry mixture; ii) adding nitric acid and water to form an extrudable mass; iii) extruding the mixture to form shaped particles; iv) drying the shaped particles; v) heating the particles in an atmosphere comprising no more than 5 vol % oxygen at a temperature in the range of from 350 to 600° C.; and vi) then heating the particles in a gas mixture comprising at least 12 vol % oxygen at a temperature in the range of from 450 to 600° C.

  • Patent number: 6862884
Abstract: A master cylinder (10) for a vehicle hydraulic brake system has a housing (12), which has a bore (14), which extends along a longitudinal axis (A) and is sealingly closed at one end by an end wall forming part of the housing (12) of the master cylinder (10) and at the other, opposite end by a closure element (16). A piston (18), which is guided in the bore (14), extends in a sealing and axially displaceable manner through the closure element (16). A central valve (20) is formed on the piston (18) and enables a fluid connection between a fluid reservoir and a pressure chamber (28) delimited in the bore (14) by the end wall and the piston (18) and, in the non-actuated state of the piston (18), is held in open position by an abutment component (34) acting upon the closure element (16).
