  • Publication number: 20070029738
Abstract: A composition and method for coating a MLS gasket is disclosed. The coating may include a polymer with bronze particulate. The particulate improves the sealability of a coating on the gasket during operation.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 5, 2005
    Publication date: February 8, 2007
Inventors: Dennis Person, Rohit Ramkumar, Frank Grant-Acquah, Frank Popielas, Thomas Plunkett
  • Publication number: 20060110800
Abstract: Novel receptor polypeptides, polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides, and related compositions and methods are disclosed. The polypeptides comprise an extracellular domain of a cell-surface receptor that is expressed in testis cells. The polypeptides may be used within methods for detecting ligands that promote the proliferation and/or differentiation of testis cells, and may also be used in the development of male-specific contraceptives and infertility treatments.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 13, 2006
    Publication date: May 25, 2006
Inventors: James Baumgartner, Theresa Farrah, Donald Foster, Frank Grant, Patrick O'Hara
  • Patent number: 7026377
Abstract: A process for producing a fiber-reinforced molded article and the resulting article such as a cantilevered battery tray. In the process, thermoplastic material in its solid state having a melt flow index above 25 g/10 minutes is fed into a suitable processing machine simultaneous with the addition of reinforcing fibers having a length of at least 0.375 inch or greater and sized with a material such as polyurethane, polyurea, and isocyanate derivatives thereof. The introduced materials are subjected to orientational agitation such that the reinforcing fibers are filamentized in an essentially homogeneous dispersion throughout the solid polymeric material. Once filamentization and dispersion are achieved, the resulting admixture is subjected to knead melting operations for an interval sufficient to achieve melting of the polymeric material introduced into a suitable plasticizing apparatus where the introduced material can be subjected to suitable knead melting operations.

Date of Patent: April 11, 2006
    Assignee: Mayco Plastics
    Inventor: Frank Grant
  • Patent number: 7025823
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of coating a gasket that includes electrostatically spraying a solvent-free coating material onto a grounded gasket and then fusing the material to itself and the gasket. In one aspect, a particulate lubricant and a silicone are used as the coating material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 1, 2002
Date of Patent: April 11, 2006
    Assignee: Dana Corporation
