  • Publication number: 20240109284
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for automated error management in a printing machine, wherein a recurring print image is imprinted on a moving material web. To improve automated error management for existing inspection systems, the invention provides a method wherein the print image is acquired by a line scan camera and forwarded to a control unit, in which a print error is recognized in the acquired print image, using an error recognition algorithm, and is saved by the control unit together with a position information and a status information. The position includes at least the margin position of the print error on the material web, and a plurality of recognized print errors are entered by the control unit in a cluster image depending on the position information and the status information, wherein the control unit recognizes an error cluster and error cluster information is output via the error cluster.

  • Patent number: 10166757
Abstract: An inking system of a printing press includes an impression cylinder for guiding a printing substrate, and at least one ink-transfer roller. The ink-transfer roller includes a cylinder mandrel, on which at least one cylinder sleeve is concentrically displaceable, and bearing blocks, in which ends of the ink-transfer roller are mounted and which are independently displaceable in the radial direction of the impression cylinder. The ink-transfer roller can be set against the impression cylinder or any other ink-transfer roller, with a bearing block being detachable from one end of the ink-transfer roller and displaceable relative to the ink-transfer roller so that the cylinder sleeve can be removed via this one end. A stop device, with which the cylinder sleeve can be brought into contact, has components that are movable in the axial direction of the print roller. The movable stop device components can be decelerated via a force-providing element.

  • Patent number: 8578850
Abstract: A printing machine with at least one inking unit which has at least two cylinders which are set against each other during the printing operation and can be rotated by at least one drive. The printing machine is provided with sensors for recording parameters of the rotary motion of the cylinders such as the torque and speed. A setting mechanism is provided for setting the at least two cylinders against each other in radial direction. The control unit is configured to trigger the setting mechanism to set the at least two cylinders against each other. The at least two cylinders are brought to different circumferential velocities and set against each other.
