    Abstract: A method and apparatus for conducting thermographic examinations of localized portions of the body in which a localized area of the body is cooled. A liquid crystal film is affixed directly against the body and the localized area and film are re-cooled to a uniform temperature. The localized area of the body and the film are rewarmed and visual images appearing on the liquid crystal film, as surface temperatures increase through the sensitivity range of the film, are recorded.
