    Abstract: Apparatus for turning an elongated billet on a mill table about its longitudinal axis without displacing it laterally of the table comprises a U-shaped billet rotating head mounted on a car movable below the mill table transversely thereof. Means are provided for simultaneously rotating the billet-turning head and moving the car in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the billet rotating head.
