  • Patent number: 9969011
Abstract: An improved pocket hole drill guide fixture. The fixture may be retrofitted onto a vise or incorporated as an integral part thereof. The fixture provides a broad clamping surface and a long top edge providing linear area for drill guide bores housed therein. Each bore enters the top edge at a known angle and exits towards the work contacting surface of the fixture. One or more workpieces per clamping cycle can be efficiently produced.

  • Publication number: 20170067502
Abstract: A improved pocket hole screw which includes a temporarily fixed guide bushing of essentially equivalent diameter to the screw head purposely providing properly spaced bearing support assuring centerline alignment as the screw enters a pocket hole. The guide bushing is located on the shaft of the screw and spaced apart from the screw head a distance relative to the screw length. The outer perimeter surfaces of the bushing and the screw head cooperate to maintain proper screw tip alignment within the center of the pocket hole assuring reliable and accurate entry of the screw tip into a smaller pilot hole at the bottom of the pocket hole. During final assembly of a pocket hole joint, upon driving the screw into the adjoining material the bushing is forced along the shaft towards the screw head and is tightened between the material at the bottom of the pocket hole and the underside of the screw head.

  • Patent number: 8708624
Abstract: A chip deflector repositionable as needed relative to a bottom work contacting surface of a hand-held power router. The chip deflector can be positioned in a shielding location below the bottom work contacting surface of the router. When the chip deflector is in the shielding position and the router is held so that the deflector is between the cutter and the worker it will deflect debris away from the operator. When not useful the chip deflector can instantly be repositioned to a non-shielding location flush with or above the bottom work contacting surface of the router. When in the non-shielding location no portion of the chip deflector protrudes beyond the bottom work contacting surface of the router thereby allowing the router to perform all basic routing without obstruction. Repositioning requires no tools or downtime plus safety and comfort are enhanced. Embodiments may be provided as original equipment or aftermarket retrofits.

  • Patent number: 7614617
Abstract: A multi-range auto-advance bar clamp used for clamping work pieces together which may upon release of the brake instantly and automatically adjust from a wide open position to any desired closed position. The multi-range auto-advance bar clamp may comprise a slide bar, a movable jaw, a sliding jaw, a body, a drive assembly and a brake, an advancement mechanism, a rigid structural body extension and a slide rail. The jaws of the clamp are adjustably separated and positioned about a work piece. A mechanism for controlling the speed with which the clamp automatically closes may also be provided.

  • Publication number: 20020074705
Abstract: A dual force rapid action lever clamp provides clamping forces essentially perpendicular to each other for accurate alignment of face frame stiles of adjacent cabinet units. The clamps are used to tightly draw together stiles of adjacent cabinets while at the same time providing pressure at the front of the stiles resulting in a tight and flush installation of the cabinets. While in a clamped position holes can be drilled and countersunk and installation screws can be driven through a drill guide hole assembly which is built into one jaw of the clamp. A short, quick, one-handed motion enables immediate adjustment and application of this clamp.

  • Patent number: 5765820
Abstract: A three-way spring clamp is provided that is useable as an edge clamp for applying clamping forces to workpieces in three directions. The clamp includes two lever arms, each having a jaw end and a handle end. The lever arms are pivotally connected to each other at a pivot point located between the jaw ends and the handle ends such that the lever arms can be moved between a closed gripping position in which the jaw ends are proximate to each other, and an opened position in which the jaw ends are spaced apart. A coil spring is provided for biasing the lever arms toward the closed gripping position. A spring engagement member is mounted between the lever arms. The engagement member includes a central body portion engageable with a surface of an article to be clamped. The body portion is positioned between the pivot point and the jaw ends and may have a generally concave configuration from the perspective of the pivot point when the lever arms are in the closed gripping position.

  • Patent number: 4449632
Abstract: A tamper-proof package for articles, such as medicine, is disclosed. The package comprises a first container into which the articles to be protected are placed. A second container made of a substantially gas impermeable material encloses the first container. The space between the first and second containers is filled with a pressurized gas such as air and the second container is sealed. Two elastic layers are tightly stretched about the second container and sealed.

  • Patent number: 4116507
Abstract: A bookshelf unit has a pair of parallel sides spaced from each other, a distance greater than the length of a heating system radiator. The sides have a width greater than the width of the radiator. A plurality of book shelves extend between, and are supported by, the sides in spaced parallel relation. A cover panel removably mounted in the bookshelf unit covers the area between the sides and the lowermost bookshelf and thereby covers the radiator and permits a free flow of air while obstructing a view of the radiator.
