  • Patent number: 11492064
Abstract: The present invention is a swingarm suspension bicycle frame that is designed to allow nesting of the swingarm within the main frame of the bicycle frame, thereby allowing the bicycle frame to be packed and shipped in a smaller package than prior art bicycles of similar frame and wheel size, and a method for nesting such a suspension bicycle frame. In one or more embodiments, the pivot bearing to which the pivot point of the swingarm is attached is positioned along the seat support member of the main frame at a distance from the bottom of the bracket mount of the seat support member that is at least as great as the distance from the pivot point of the swingarm to the shock absorber mounting point of the swingarm. Such a location allows the swingarm to be nested within the main frame of the bicycle frame.

  • Patent number: 10628111
Abstract: The present invention comprises a device and method that reduces the appearance of inter-monitor seams by optically magnifying display areas on each side of a seam such that they appear to extend beyond the display area of a monitor so as to give the visual appearance of extending to the outside edge of each monitor's frame. In one embodiment, the invention comprises a clear longitudinal magnifying strip comprising a generally bi-semicircular cross section that is mounted across an inter-monitor seam. In one embodiment, the invention comprises a video processor that adjusts the image displayed on a monitor to compensate for the visual distortion caused by the magnifying strip.

  • Patent number: 10530727
Abstract: The present invention comprises a method and apparatus for receiving, modifying and transmitting electronic communications. In one or more embodiments, the invention comprises a method performed by a server computer system that receives communications addressed to e-mail addresses created by the server computer system for recipients from senders having existing e-mail addresses. The server system creates modified e-mail messages by removing the sender's existing e-mail address and inserting an e-mail address created by the server computer system for that sender, wherein the created e-mail address identifies a name of the sender. The server computer system then transmits the modified e-mail message to an existing e-mail address of the recipient.

  • Patent number: 9584461
Abstract: The present invention comprises a method and apparatus for e-mail communications with members of a group of members. In one or more embodiments, a server computer system determines whether a sender of an incoming e-mail message addressed to a recipient member of the group is a member of the group. If the sender is a member of the group, the server computer system replaces the senders existing e-mail address in the incoming e-mail message with a created e-mail address created by the server computer system for the sender.

  • Patent number: 9398106
Abstract: The present invention comprises a novel method and apparatus for displaying and managing relationships between data elements of a database, including, without limitation, relationships between data elements representing or associated with members of a social network in a social network database. In one or more embodiments, attributes or values of data elements of a database are interpreted as unique locations in a multidimensional environment. Data elements are graphically displayed from the perspective of a point within the multidimensional environment. Attributes and relationships between data elements are displayed by visual characteristics of the displayed data elements (e.g. location, color, shape, animation) and by graphical elements connecting related displayed elements (e.g. similar colors, shapes, or connecting lines or areas).

  • Publication number: 20150047797
Abstract: The present invention comprises a removable protective shield for windows that protects the windows yet does not impede the operation of the item in which the window is incorporated and does not mar or physically alter the window or item in which the window is incorporated. In one or more embodiments, the protective shield of the present invention comprises a piece of transparent or translucent rigid or semi-rigid plastic sheet sized and shaped so as to extend at least partially beyond the perimeter of the window which is intended to be protected. The protective shield of the invention may, for example, comprise a transparent or translucent acrylic or polycarbonate sheet. Removable, non-marring attachment mechanisms are used to attach the protective shield to the item in which the window is incorporated such that that item (i.e. convertible top or dodger) is not altered or damaged.

  • Patent number: 8504631
Abstract: The present invention comprises a method, apparatus and business system for allowing on-line communications with members of a group of recipients for whom the invention has been implemented. A group may, for example, comprise members of a particular business or profession. For example, a group may consist of doctors admitted to practice medicine in the United States. Individual members of the group may or may not have existing internet presences. The invention allows online users to communicate with each member of a given group regardless of whether or not the member has an existing internet presence. In one or more embodiments, the invention does so by setting up a database of contact information for members of the group, creating an internet presence for each member of such group, creating an on-line user interface allowing a user to access the member's created internet presence, and providing means of communications between the created internet presence and the member recipient.
