  • Publication number: 20070255163
Abstract: Apparatus for monitoring events such as the measurement of temperature, pressure, humidity or physical shock caused by acceleration or deceleration is disclosed. The apparatus includes one or more sensors for measuring the events and circuitry for recording these events and displaying the same along with a time of day and a date when the event occurred. An additional alarm e.g. a visual or audible alarm is provided to warn of an impending problem such as a thaw of frozen items. The alarm is operated when a thaw condition is possible. A display in the form of a series of bar graphs is disclosed for displaying a series of event measurements.

  • Publication number: 20060265825
Abstract: In a first embodiment an electric toothbrush having a housing containing an electric motor, the motor being drivingly connected to a first brush head rotatably mounted on an end of the toothbrush remote from the motor and adjacent to at least one other rotatable brush head. In a second embodiment a packaged electric toothbrush including a “try me” facility for remotely testing the operation of the toothbrush, which “try me” feature comprises a two-sided metal strip such as aluminum foil, separated by a dielectric material, respective sides of the strip being connected at one end to respective parts used to operate the electric toothbrush and the other end of the strip being folded over and including a centrally disposed aperture onto which is a bendable metal connector such that upon bending or pressing of the connector the two sides of the strip are electrically connected together to temporarily operate the toothbrush whilst still in its packaging.

  • Publication number: 20060059740
Abstract: A product merchandising tray (1) including movable signage (4), movable between a stored position in which the signage is substantially hidden by at least a part of the product (2) carried by the tray and an exposed position in which the sign is readily visible to customers viewing the display.

  • Publication number: 20050194243
Abstract: A remote control adaptor assembly for remotely moving a rocker switch between an on position and an off position. The remote control includes a housing mounted at a location remote from the switch, a radio frequency receiver unit disposed within the housing, a motor operably coupled to the receiver unit, an actuator operably coupled to the motor and extending from the housing, and a remote control transmitter in communication with the receiver unit. The receiver unit receives signals form the transmitter and in response to the signals the motor moves the actuator between a first engaging position, a second engaging position, and a rest position. The actuator moves the switch between the on position and the off position when the actuator moves between the first engaging position and the second engaging position respectively. The actuator permits the switch to be manually operated when the actuator is in the rest position.

  • Publication number: 20050139227
Abstract: The present invention provides in a first aspect a dental flosser attachment (1) for a toothbrush driver in which dental floss (3) from a spool on or in the attachment is fed via a floss quick release locking mechanism (4) to a floss receiving end (5) of one of a pair of prongs (6) extending from the body (2) of the attachment to a floss receiving end (7) of the other prong and back to the quick release mechanism such that the free end of the floss may be pulled to tension the floss between the prongs, whereafter the quick release mechanism is releasably locked to retain the tension of the floss therebetween, including across the prongs, the quick release mechanism being mounted for reciprocable rotation relative to the prongs to thereby cause the floss to oscillate therebetween when the flosser attachment is activated by the toothbrush driver.

  • Publication number: 20050088118
Abstract: According to a first aspect of the invention there is provided an electrically operable sensor (3) for sensing when an excess current is being drawn by a mains powered light string in which one or more light bulbs have failed and the circuit has been repaired via one or more shunts, the sensor (3) thereafter indicating the need to locate and replace the failed bulbs within the string. In accordance with a second aspect of the invention there is provided a light string circuit repair device (7) for generating a relatively high voltage as compared to the operating voltage of the light string in use, wherein switch means (6) are provided to produce only a single burst of current at a relatively high voltage for a very short duration, whereafter the device (7) becomes deactivated and can only be reactivated upon the switch means (6) being returned to its initial state or condition.

  • Publication number: 20050006403
Abstract: A battery operated self-contained submersible liquid dispenser for dispensing discrete quantities of a liquid from a remote liquid reservoir is provided. The dispenser comprises a hermetically sealed walled housing containing a peristaltic pump driven either directly or via a speed reduction gear train by an electric motor in response to motor activation signals received from an electric control circuit within the housing. The pump includes a flexible liquid dispensing tube connected to respective liquid inlet and liquid outlet ports extending through the wall of the housing, a pump actuator for forcing liquid received via the liquid inlet port through the tube to the outlet port, and a sensor on or in the wall of the housing connected to the circuit. The sensor is adapted to sense a changed condition from a required parameter external to the housing, e.g.
