  • Patent number: 5115976
Abstract: A dispenser for agricultural chemicals generally has a small plastic plate defining an affixing enclosure for fitting the dispenser over or around branches, vines etc. The plate has an opening therein. A container for the chemicals having one unenclosed section is attachable to the plate with the unenclosed section substantially aligned with the opening in the plate for emitting the agricultural chemicals to the environment. The opening in the faceplate can be at least partially surrounded by a raised edge and this edge may contain a lip for securing the container to the plate via a snap or sliding fit. Certain other options include forming the faceplate with small nubs which jut outwards over the opening in the faceplate. When the container is attached to the plate, these nubs prevent the chemical within the container from being jostled loose and also limit the exposed surface area of the contained chemical.

  • Patent number: 4814184
Abstract: Improved pharmaceutical delivery devices which can deliver hydrophilic or polar pharmaceutically active materials, as well as optionally hydrophobic or non-polar materials, have small particles with on average a diameter below 20 microns of a drug component comprising the hydrophilic or polar pharmaceutically active material, dispersed in a silicone matrix. These devices are produced by using certain organopolysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymers. Preferably an emulsion of the drug component in a silicone containing composition is made before curing the composition to an elastomer.

  • Patent number: 4177176
Abstract: Composition comprising (A) a polydiorganosiloxane having molecular weight of at least 2500 and terminal --OX groups in which X is hydrogen, lower alkyl or alkoxyalkyl, at least two of the substituents in the polydiorganosiloxane containing at least two amine groups, the remainder preferably being methyl radicals, and (B) an organosiloxane having at least 3 silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms. The compositions can be applied to keratinous fibres to render such fibres shrink resistant and are particularly suitable for application in the form of an aqueous emulsion.
