  • Patent number: 4630358
Abstract: A moving coil capsule for a telephone handset is designed for high speed mass production. It consists of a carrier ring (1) and diaphragm (2) formed as an interim sub-assembly in a first buffer store. A coil (6) preparation and finishing stage applies the coil (6) on a former in the form of an aluminium dome (5) and inserts the dome (5) into a nest (7) in the diaphragm to form a first sub-assembly in a second buffer store. A magnet assembly (10, 11 and 12) is manufactured using quick curing glue with the outer pole piece (12) formed by an accurate stamping whose outer rim fits precisely in a reference datum (1a) in the carrier ring. The interim sub-assemblies and magnet assemblies are made one at a time, and the first sub-assemblies are formed two at a time from the interim sub-assemblies, but at half the speed.Final assembly of the magnet assembly and first sub-assembly together with a rear cover (14) is carried out and a throughput at a rate of one capsule in less than four seconds can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 4419838
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes an element which is adapted for connection to other components of a diagram board, such as a mosaic display panel, which element displays a pair of legs depending from one sidewall thereof; the outer face of one leg is concave while the outer face of the other leg is convex; the legs are made of elastic material so that they are flexible in a first direction which is in a plane perpendicular to the sidewall and in a second direction which is in a longitudinal plane that includes the pair of legs to enable engagement with another component of the assembly.

  • Patent number: 4344301
Abstract: A portable beverage cooler comprising a hollow body having a bottom wall, opposed side walls and an open end. A lid is provided for closing the open end. The hollow body and the lid are each formed of a material having thermal insulating properties. Engagement means is provided in opposed ones of a pair of the side walls of the hollow body for vertically supporting a coolant container spaced adjacent a respective one of the other two opposed side walls and in an upper portion of the body above the bottom wall whereby a plurality of beverage containers may be placed in a lower level portion of the body with the coolant containers held thereabove and defining between them an upper level portion for containment of further beverage containers resting on the containers in the lower level portion.

  • Patent number: 4344300
Abstract: A portable cooler enclosure comprising a hollow base member having thermal insulating properties and defined by a continuous side wall, a bottom wall and an open top end. A lid is engageable over the open top end and also has thermal insulating properties. A cooling container is disposable in the base member for cooling air therein. The cooling container has a continuous outer and inner side wall. An inner cooling well is defined intermediate the inner side wall for receiving one or more beverage containers therein. One or more cooling compartments are provided in the base member adjacent the outer wall of the cooling container.

  • Patent number: 4286440
Abstract: A cooler is divided by an insulated partition into at least two separate compartments and a coolant container is positioned on the partition so that one surface of the coolant container is in direct communication with one of said compartments and a separate surface of the coolant container is in direct communication with at least one other of the compartments. Preferably the coolant container forms a removable closure for said one compartment.

  • Patent number: 4280336
Abstract: A small portable cooler for carrying cylindrical type beverage containers and foodstuff. A handle is integrally molded with the body of the cooler so that it can be carried by one hand. A cold pack is supported in a coolant chamber which distributes cold air to the cylindrical container compartments within the cooler body. A food container is removably secured to a back wall of the container body. The back wall also serves as a support surface for the beverage containers about the food container.
