  • Publication number: 20240158756
Abstract: The present invention relates to a culture media system that is useful for the isolation and epigenetically stable propagation of normal stem cells in culture, wherein the stem cells are derived from stratified epithelial tissues and cancer stem cells from epithelial cancers. In certain embodiments, the culture system is a feeder-free system.

  • Publication number: 20240151147
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an airfoil assembly for a turbine engine and methods of assembly thereof. The airfoil assembly generally includes a composite airfoil and a spar. The composite airfoil has a pressure side and a suction side extending in an axial direction between a leading edge and a trailing edge defining a chordwise direction and extending radially between a root and a tip defining a spanwise direction and having a span-length. The spar includes a first portion including a first material and a second portion joined at an interface with the first portion. The second portion further includes a second material, different from the first material, joined to the first portion at an interface. The method generally includes joining the first portion with the second portion at the interface; and assembling the spar with the composite airfoil.

  • Publication number: 20240144949
Abstract: In one embodiment, an AR/VR system includes a social-networking application installed on the AR/VR system, which allows a user to access on online social network, including communicating with the user's social connections and interacting with content objects on the online social network. The AR/VR system also includes an AR/VR application, which allows the user to interact with an AR/VR platform by providing user input to the AR/VR application via various modalities. Based on the user input, the AR/VR platform generates responses and sends the generated responses to the AR/VR application, which then presents the responses to the user at the AR/VR system via various modalities.

  • Publication number: 20070219118
Abstract: It has been found that certain synthetic vectors and nucleic acid sequences that encode viral genomic sequences can, for example, be administered to a subject repeatedly as a vehicle for effectively delivering one or more therapeutic nucleic acid molecules or polypeptides to a cell or tissue. Accordingly, the disclosed nucleic acid delivery vehicles can be used, for instance, as part of a therapeutic regimen that involves an ongoing use of a therapeutic nucleic acid molecule or polypeptide.

  • Publication number: 20070203082
Abstract: The present invention provides compositions and methods that are useful for the treatment of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). More specifically, nucleic acid agents such as siRNA molecules and their analogues that target respiratory infections including SARS coronavirus and their methods of use are described, for clinical treatments of SARS, respiratory viral infections, for prevention and treatment of respiratory infections as needed for bio-defense, for treatment of respiratory diseases, and for discovery of therapeutic targets for respiratory diseases and infections.

  • Publication number: 20070003519
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for treating cancers by manipulating a target gene expression by up-regulation, silencing and/or down-regulation of the gene, such as EGFR-RP, TRA1, MFGE8, TNFSF13 and ZFP236, respectively. The methods are useful in treating cancers and/or inhibiting tumor growth by enhancing expression of a gene that is validated as a target such as ICT1030, for protein, peptide drug and gene therapy modalities; or by RNA interference to silence and/or down-regulate targets such as ICT1024, ICT1025 and ICT1031 and ICB1003 that are validated for antibody, small molecule and other inhibitor drug modalities.
