  • Publication number: 20050094484
Abstract: A feeding device has a feed mixing container with an agitator for mixing feed components and for circulating the feed components. At least one a UV radiation source is arranged in the interior of the feed mixing container for UV irradiation of inner surfaces of the feed mixing container and of a surface of the feed components possibly present in the feed mixing container. The at least one UV radiation source emits a UV radiation in the range of approximately 240 to 280 nanometers, has a power draw of approximately 30 to 40 watt, and is provided with a protective quartz glass cover.

  • Patent number: 6406726
Abstract: For preparing cattle feed mixtures, especially pumpable liquid feed mixtures, the feed components are added consecutively to a weighing and mixing container and mixed. Before or while the feed mixture is being prepared, the pH of the mixture is measured and, if it exceeds a specified value during a continued mixing process, acid is added as the last additive to the feed mixture until the specified value is reached. For this purpose, a pH measuring probe, which is passed through the wall of the container, is provided in the lower region of the weighing and mixing container.

  • Patent number: 6309095
Abstract: A feeding device includes two weighing and mixing containers which can be charged from storage containers for the preparation of two cattle feed mixtures of different composition. A flow pipe includes a feed conveying pump and is connected to each bottom outlet of the weighing and mixing containers. A service line which is connected to the flow pipes, has a plurality of valve-controlled branches to consumer sites and guides dividing bodies with a central control computer. The service line is connected only at its ends with one of the flow pipes and is provided with only a single dividing body for separating the feed.
