  • Patent number: 6277331
Abstract: A holding device for body fluid, tissue parts and tissue culture media includes a cylindrical holding container having a container wall with an inner surface defining an inner space, a first open end face having a diameter which is at least equal to the diameter of the inner space, and a second open end face having a conical sealing surface tapering inwardly in the direction of the inner space. A first closure device closes the first open end face and a second closure device closes the second end face. The second closure device includes a solid conical seal body 44 having a sealing surface conforming to the conical sealing surface of the second open end face and an outer end face of a larger diameter than that of an inner end face that faces the inner space. A retaining member 45 abuts the outer end face and is coupled to the outer container wall surface for holding the seal body in a sealing position in the second open end face.

  • Patent number: 5897508
Abstract: The invention describes a holding device (2) for a blood sample removal tubule (3) of a blood removal device (1) with a receiving vessel (11) for a front end of the blood sample removal tubule (3), closed by a closure device (39), with a needle holder (22). In the needle holder (22) a cannula (23) is mounted, directed towards the opened front side (12) of the receiving vesel (11), and projects in the direction thereof. A through-flow opening (53) is connected by means of a connecting canal (32), constructed between the needle bolder (22) and a front wall (17) of the receiving vessel (11), with a removal needle (5) of a needle arrangement (4), arranged eccentrically to a central longitudinal axis (13) of the receiving chamber (15). Between the connecting canal (32) and a receiving chamber (15) of the receiving vessel (11), an openable valve arrangement (52) is arranged as required.

  • Patent number: 5871700
Abstract: A holding device for liquids comprises a container open at one end and formed of a light-tight wall which is sealed at an opposite end, and an outer housing open at one end and formed of a gas-tight wall. The container is inserted coaxially in the outer housing, with a substantial portion of the outer surface of the container wall contacting the inner surface of the housing wall without play whereby the container is held in the outer housing by a press fit. The outer surface of the container wall defines at least one continuous groove extending from the sealed ends of the container and outer housing walls to the open container and outer housing walls.

  • Patent number: 5522518
Abstract: A closure for a tube is a two piece stopper. The inner piece extends into the tube and the outer piece engages the exterior of the tube's sidewall. The outer piece has an inwardly extending shoulder which supports a projection of the inner piece. The two pieces are held together by a C-shaped washer that rests above the inner piece and in a channel formed in the outer piece.

  • Patent number: 5495958
Abstract: In combination with a cylindrical housing, a closure cap including a transverse end wall and cylindrical shell defining a bore and open end. A sealing device arranged between the bore and open end has an outer cylindrical sealing surface mating with an inner cylindrical sealing surface on the housing. A coupling device is arranged between the closure cap and cylindrical housing and includes three spiral webs on the inner surface of the closure cap shell between a first and second transverse plane. The first plane is remote from the end wall and the second plane is close to the end wall, each web having respective ends in the first and second plane, the ends in the first plane being circumferentially spaced from the ends in the second plane by an angle of less than 120 degrees. Three guide lugs radially extend from the cylindrical housing for engagement with the webs, the guide lugs being circumferentially spaced from each other by an angle of about 120 degrees.
