  • Patent number: 7937932
Abstract: A metering valve assembly having a metering valve for metering an aqueous urea solution for posttreatment of exhaust gases from internal combustion engines, the liquid being capable of being fed in a feeding direction to the metering valve and a mixing chamber being provided, in which the liquid is miscible with a gas in a gas flow. The metering valve is evacuatable contrary to the feeding direction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 1, 2005
Date of Patent: May 10, 2011
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Bernhard Hager, Michael Offenhuber, Franz Lackner, Johann Siller, Leopold Bernegger
  • Patent number: 7594393
Abstract: An apparatus for introducing a reducing agent into the exhaust of an internal combustion engine, having a reservoir, a delivery unit, and a flow path for the reducing agent. The apparatus also has a ventilation device for ventilating the flow path and is situated at a geodetic high point of the flow path and even in the closed state, permits a return of a minimal fluid quantity to the reservoir.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 7, 2004
Date of Patent: September 29, 2009
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH

  • Publication number: 20070209349
Abstract: A procedure to introduce a reagent substance into the exhaust duct of an internal combustion engine and a device to implement the procedure are proposed. At least one catalytic converter is disposed in the exhaust duct of the internal combustion engine. In front of the aforementioned catalytic converter(s), a reagent substance subjected to pressure is sprayed into the exhaust gas. The reagent substance pressure set point is established as a function of a parameter. The procedural approach allows for a targeted employment of the reagent substance and a high degree of utilization of the converter.

  • Publication number: 20060168940
Abstract: A method for mutual adaptation of a delivery module and a metering module of an exhaust emissions control system that has an exhaust gas conduit and a control module, the delivery module having a reservoir that has a venting valve and contains a uric acid solution that is conveyed via a delivery pump to a pressure regulating valve; and in the metering module, an air stream being compressed with the aid of a pump, conveyed to a pressure accumulator, and conveyed via a regulating valve, together with the uric acid solution, out of the pressure regulating valve to a metering valve, and being conveyed from there to an atomizer unit disposed in the exhaust gas conduit, the value of a reference pressure based on the pressure forming in the exhaust gas conduit being stored in the control module.

  • Patent number: 6058246
Abstract: The proposal is for a heater consisting of a container with connections for a heating agent circuit for the circulation of a heat conveying medium, in which the container (50, 59) through which the heat conveying medium is to flow is thermally connected to at least one heat store fitted in the heater and preferably in which the container (50, 59) is at least partially fitted in another container (51) of heat-conducting material which can be filled with a heat storage fluid, where the two containers are not in mutual fluid communication and/or the container (50,59) through which the heat conveying medium flows is at least partly adjacent to a solid heat storage core (20). The invention also relates to a heating installation with heaters of the invention making use of solar power.
