  • Publication number: 20190024535
Abstract: A vibration absorber which, in the broadest sense, is based on a pendulum device for dampening undesirable vibrations which occur in a very slender structure, such as a wind turbine. The undesirable vibrations are caused by an acting force, in particular wind force. The invention thereby relates to vibration absorbers in which the pendulum mass can be temporarily stopped or braked, either entirely or partially, by an electromagnetic brake. The power supply or the current regulation of the electromagnetic brake correspondingly controls the braking function of the electromagnetic brake.

  • Publication number: 20180252287
Abstract: A novel vibration absorber for damping vibrations of a building or a machine installation having an inherent frequency of preferably below 1 Hz, preferably below 0.5 Hz, in particular, <0.25 Hz, as may occur, for example, in wind turbines or also other tall slim buildings or installations. The vibration absorber which, besides a main mass which is fixed per se and is moved along a track analogous or similar to a pendulum mass, has a substantially smaller, variably adjustable rotating flywheel mass, which can be moved with the main mass on the track thereof and with the aid of which the frequency of the absorber can be finely adjusted or adapted.

  • Publication number: 20180094658
Abstract: Workpieces that generate pressure by an extrusion media (6, 6a) and are deformed in this way for the secure connection of components (7, 8). In particular, an extrusion billet which comprises an extrudable material or material mixture in the interior thereof, which can be reversibly compressed by a compression die (4) penetrating into the material, such that billet can expand in diameter by increasing the internal pressure in the billet, which leads to a very secure, but reversible press fitting of the different types of components to be connected, in particular of shaft-hub connections for mechanical engineering.

  • Patent number: 9816552
Abstract: An elastomeric bushing for a bearing. The bushing can, even after installation in the bearing, be pretensioned or calibrated, by displacement of elastomeric material in the interior of the bushing, where the displacement is carried out by different pressing mechanism and tensioning mechanism in the bushing and/or in the surrounding bearing.

  • Publication number: 20160319896
Abstract: A temperature-compensating damping element, which is suitable for the temperature-independent reduction of vibrations, which has a fixed, non-elastic outer part and a fixed, non-elastic inner part, which is either fully or partly inserted into a mating cut-out or opening of the outer part. The outer and inner parts have contact surfaces which are connected to one another by an elastic layer which comprises an elastomer material and which is, or can be, pre-tensioned with respect to a desired frequency by a tensioning element. The elastic layer which is responsible for the vibration damping is directly connected at one or more points to an additional elastic volume. The additional elastic volume is a multiple of the volume of the elastic layer, and has the effect that the excitation frequency of the damping element changes in the case of a temperature change within a temperature range.

  • Patent number: 9194450
Abstract: Elastomer components, which are to have an elastomer volume with a sufficiently large prestress, as is required, for example, for use in wind energy plants. The elastomer components are substantially based on the incorporation and integration of separating elements into the elastomer body of the component, the elements are disposed either individually or in structures. The body may be compressed by pressure supplied into the region, between the separating elements and the surrounding elastomer material, or directly into the separating elements, such that the elastomer components are prestressed in a dynamically adjustable manner.

  • Publication number: 20150226186
Abstract: A teeter bearing, preferably for use in wind turbines, which is built up from elastic, in particular conical multilayered spring elements, which can optionally be varied in their stiffness behaviour by hydraulic devices and are arranged constructively in the region of the rotor hub so that they are consequently highly suitable both for adjustment of the rotor blades and also for reduction of undesired forces transmitted to the turbine through the rotor blades. In particular, the teeter bearings are suitable for use in one- and two-bladed rotor wind turbines.

  • Patent number: 8991800
Abstract: An elastomeric bearing arrangement for the reduction of machine vibrations caused predominantly by externally acting forces. The bearing, due to its special design and construction symmetry, is capable of processing the forces occurring in all spatial directions with optimal material protection. The bearing is preferably suitable for a rotational connection of rotor/gearbox units to the support plate in wind turbines. The bearing has a sandwich element (5), a cone element (3), a cone piece (4) and a cylinder piece (4a) which interact with one another.

  • Patent number: 8746663
Abstract: A mechanically adjustable elastomer bearing based on a correspondingly arranged spring element whose spring stiffness can be adjusted or pretensioned individually by deformable elastomer bodies or elastomer layers. The deformation of the elastomer layers, and thus of the spring elements, is achieved by a pressure-generated device which is fully integrated into the spring element. The elastomer bearing are particularly suitable for use as bearings in rotor and gearbox for large wind turbines, but can also advantageously be employed in machine and vehicle construction, and in particular package clutches.
