  • Publication number: 20120167621
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing combustible gas for gas engines from associated gas obtained during oil production, the associated gas containing methane, ethane, propane, hydrocarbons having more than three carbon atoms, and optionally propene, wherein a gaseous fraction and a liquid fraction are obtained by partially condensing the associated gas, wherein the condensation process is performed under such pressure and temperature conditions that the liquid phase is substantially free from methane, ethane, propane, and optionally propene, and that substantially the entire methane, ethane, propane, and optionally propene are contained in the gaseous phase.

  • Patent number: 5762045
Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for ascertaining a knock intensity signal of an internal combustion engine, wherein an electrical light signal corresponding to the light emission in the combustion chamber is obtained by way of an optical sensor which extends into the combustion chamber, and by way of a photodetector, and then evaluated, wherein firstly the first derivative of the electrical light signal in respect of time is formed and a knock intensity signal is obtained therefrom.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 23, 1996
Date of Patent: June 9, 1998
    Assignee: Jenbacher Energiesysteme Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Franz Pockstaller, Christian Lang
  • Patent number: 5560338
Abstract: An arrangement for determining the parameters of an internal combustion engine, in particular an Otto engine operating with gaseous fuels, has at least one optical sensor for observing the emission of light caused by the combustion in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine and at least one photodetector for converting the light emitted into electric signals which are processed in an evaluation unit. In order to achieve a rapid and accurate regulation, the evaluation unit has an arrangement for determining the maximum or mean intensity of the light emitted during each combustion cycle on the basis of the corresponding electric signal. The evaluation unit further has a regulating unit which regulates at least one engine parameter depending on the intensity maxima.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 21, 1995
Date of Patent: October 1, 1996
    Assignee: Jenbacher Energiesysteme Aktiengesellschaft
