  • Publication number: 20030089096
Abstract: A harvester, especially a combine-harvester, is proposed, comprising a pickup reel (2) held rotatably between supporting arms (1) and with a drive (3) for the pickup reel (2). In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions, the drive (3) is arranged within the pickup reel (2).

  • Patent number: 6354938
Abstract: A straw-cutting machine serves to chop stalks, preferably to chop straw behind the straw-walker end (1) of a combine harvester. It possesses a straw-cutting machine housing (4) in which a rotor (5) provided with cutting tools (7) and a drive is pivoted, a guide plate (12) which forms a straw-cutting machine bottom and an outlet (13). To improve such a straw-cutting machine, counter-cutters (11) are provided on the straw-cutting machine bottom (12). Preferably, further counter-cutters (23) are provided in the region of the inlet gap (22) (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 6272822
Abstract: A front-mounted attachment (2) for harvester-threshers (1) for harvesting soy-beans and peas has a resiliently mounted additional cutting mechanism (4), whose cutter drive (5) can be derived from the drive of the cutting mechanism of the harvester-thresher (1). To ensure a simple and trouble-free operation, the cutter drive (5) includes an oil-bath transmission (6) to be connected to the drive of the cutting mechanism of the harvester-thresher (1) via a belt drive (7), which oil-bath transmission is mounted on a lateral runner (8) pivotally mounted at the cutting mechanism (10) of the harvester-thresher so as to be swivelled about a horizontal transverse axis (A) by a swivel arm (9).

  • Patent number: 6126098
Abstract: A chopper for breaking up stalks, chiefly straw is provided with a chopper housing in which a rotor equipped with cutting tools and a drive are housed and which is positioned under a feed hopper. A baffle plate forms a chopping floor in the area of which counterblades are positioned. Slits are positioned in the chopper floor essentially over the width of the rotor.
