  • Publication number: 20060034961
Abstract: A device for the processing of plastic waste, comprising a shredding device (9) arranged in a casing (1) and rotatable around an axis of rotation (2), which shredding device carries a plurality of knives (3) at its periphery, and an extruder comprising an extruder screw (4), with the casing (1) comprising a feed opening (5) for the supply of plastic waste to the shredding device (9) and a discharge opening (6) for the delivery of shredded plastic waste to the extruder. The shredding device (9) and its knives (3), respectively, can be moved past the extruder screw (4) at such a small distance (h) that effective shear gaps are formed between the knives (3) of the shredding device (9) and a helix (4a) of the extruder screw (4).

  • Publication number: 20040040175
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for the drying of plastic webs. Said device comprises at least one group of nozzles, whereby each group comprises at least two nozzles, between which a gap is provided for the introduction of a plastic web. According to the invention, air streams from each of the nozzles (4,5; 14,15; 24,25) in a group may be directed at the gap (6) in such a way that a plastic web (3) fed through said gap is made to oscillate (at 3a). By means of the vibration of the plastic web, any water droplets (18) found on the web are quickly shaken from the web and the plastic web thus dried.

  • Patent number: 6652630
Abstract: A device for degassing melts, especially plastic melts, which has a melt nozzle (1) with an inlet connection (11) for connecting to a melt supply, a melt outlet opening and a vacuum chamber (20) defined by essentially vacuum-tight walls, which communicates with a vacuum source and which opens into a discharge opening for an essentially vacuum-tight connection to a melt processing system, the melt outlet opening of the nozzle extending into the degassing chamber. The melt outlet opening (13a) of the nozzle (1) is configured as a slit of a length which is a multiple of its width and which has a curved or folded configuration.

  • Patent number: 6533104
Abstract: A device for receiving and transporting objects has at least one pair of parallel chains or belts situated opposite each other and driven in synchrony, which define a space between each other for transporting the objects therethrough. Each chain has at least one gripper which is mounted so as to be pivotable thereon and faces a corresponding gripper on the other chain. Each gripper has an extension which is moveable along a guiding path. The guiding path has a path section sloped with respect to the direction of transport of the objects at the point of receipt of the objects, so that, when the chain is moving, the extension of the gripper is deflected along the sloped path section and thus a rotational movement countering the translational movement caused by the chain is imparted to the gripper. Thus no rotational movement occurs at the moment of contact between the gripper and the object.

  • Patent number: 6517472
Abstract: A device for separating two webs of material which are arranged on top of each other. The webs of material are to be separated while they are being transported on a conveying device, the first of the webs of material being detachably fixed to the conveying device. The device includes a suction device which is moveable in relation to the second web of material and by which means it is able to temporarily draw the second web of material by suction and separate it from the first web of material. Two cranks are set apart, each crank rotates about a first pivot pin and is rotationally connected to the suction device by a second pivot pin. A drive device with an engaging element is connected to an engaging element configured on one of the cranks. The paths of revolution of the drive device engaging element and the crank engaging element do not coincide and are nonparallel, and the engaging elements engage with each other in such a way that they can be displaced in relation to each other.

  • Patent number: 5845995
Abstract: This invention relates to a sack made of fabric consisting of monoaxially drawn, desirably single-layer, tapes of polymer, particularly polyolefine, preferably polypropylene, which fabric may be coated on one or both sides with a thermoplastic material, particularly polyolefine, wherein the fabric is a seamless tubular fabric or a flat fabric combined to form a tube and at least one end of the sack having in particular the shape of a box or a right parallelepiped is formed by folding the fabric ends to a particularly rectangular bottom surface.

  • Patent number: 5826626
Abstract: A device for monitoring a weft in a circular loom where the weft is drawn-off from a bobbin of the weaving shuttle rotating along a circular path formed by a circular reed. The device includes a magnetic sensor stationarily arranged in a zone of the circular path of the weaving shuttle for generating an electronic control signal to turn off the loom when there is a fault in the weft creating an operative connection between the magnetic sensor and a permanent magnet. The magnet is carried by the weaving shuttle. The device has a pivoting lever having the permanent magnet arranged thereon. The device also includes a return spring that displaces the pivoting lever as well as the permanent magnet attached thereon towards a position where the operative connection between the magnetic sensor and the permanent magnet is made.

  • Patent number: 5787938
Abstract: A device for drawing-off a fabric in a circular loom where the circular loom has a drive motor for driving a main shaft and a weft monitoring assembly for detecting a fault in a weft. The device has a separate motor for driving the fabric draw-off rollers, a computer that controls the rotational speed of the separate motor through a speed regulating device, and a pulse generator that generates control pulses proportional to the rotational speed of the main shaft. In the event of a fault in the weft detected by the weft monitoring assembly, the computer readjusts the rotational speed of the separate motor.
