  • Publication number: 20220144136
Abstract: An anchorage system includes an elongate track defining an interior channel and an anchorage device securable at any of plural longitudinal positions on the track. The track has a base and first and second sides. A longitudinal channel opening opens in an outward face of the track and is defined between first and second retaining flanges at the outward face. The flanges project in towards one another and overlay the interior channel. The flanges have edge faces directed laterally towards one another across the channel opening and outward surfaces which are comprised in the outward face of the track. The anchorage device has a body, a retaining foot and a stem portion connecting the body and the retaining foot. The foot is laterally wider than the stem portion, and the anchorage device is engageable in the track with the foot in the interior channel.

  • Patent number: 9149721
Abstract: A video game development system for enhancing communications between development tools and video game platforms or running games. The system includes a communications hub module running on a computer or server and communicatively linked with first and second video game platforms to allow the communications hub module to forward messages to and receive messages from the game platforms. Memory accessible by the communications hub module stores communication data sets or libraries controlling communications with the game platforms. A video game development tool is provided in the system and is communicatively linked with the communications hub module. The development tool transmits messages formatted based on a client-side communications library defining communications with the hub module.

  • Patent number: 8788243
Abstract: A system and method for performing performance testing of video game software from a host computer or external to the game platforms. The system includes a plurality of game platforms, of one, two, or more configurations, running a video game and a communications hub communicatively linked with the game platforms. The testing system includes a metrics gathering framework linked with the communications hub. During operation, the metrics gathering framework requests a metric value from the game platforms via the communication hub, receives the metric values from the game platforms, and stores the metric values in memory of the computer system. In this manner, the majority of the performance test is performed externally or “off-console” so as to avoid polluting the testing environment such as by hindering game performance. The testing may include determining a metric value is out-of-tolerance, and, in response, requesting additional performance data to facilitate troubleshooting.

  • Publication number: 20120204153
Abstract: A system and method for performing external and automated testing of video game software. A video game testing system includes a testing farm with game platforms and a communications hub communicatively linked with the game platforms. The system includes test scripts stored in memory that each defines test functions to be performed on the game platforms. The test scripts are platform neutral such that they can be written once and run on game consoles regardless of hardware or software differences. The system includes a testing framework on a computer system communicatively linked with the communications hub. During operations, the testing framework selects one of the test scripts transmits test messages with test orders to a subset of the game platforms and receives back test data including crash data. The platforms may differ in configuration or be identical consoles and be concurrently used to efficiently perform a test.

  • Publication number: 20100146060
Abstract: A video game development system adapted for collaborative game authoring. The system includes a video game platform with a game engine running or providing video game instance based on a set of game data (e.g., defined game logic or game assets such as animations, objects, and game settings). A communications hub module is communicatively linked to the video game platform, and first and second game development tools are linked to the communications hub module. The tools are operated to modify the set of game data and to transmit authoring messages including content based on modifications to the game data to the communications hub module. The communications hub module generates game data update messages from these tool-generated authoring messages, which may be sent concurrently, and forwards the update messages to the video game platform. The game engine runs the video game using the set of game data including updates.

  • Publication number: 20100144444
Abstract: A video game testing system facilitating real-time monitoring and modifying a video game during a playtesting session. The testing system includes video game platforms operating during a playtesting session to run a video game. A server is provided to run a communications hub module communicatively linked with the video game platforms. The testing system also includes a monitoring computer station with a statistics gathering tool receiving data related to play of the video game by a control group of players. The game play data is transmitted from the video game platforms via the communications hub module, and the statistics gathering tool processes the game play data and outputs aggregated statistics during the playtesting session. The testing system includes a development tool issuing authoring messages to the game platforms defining modifications to the game data during the playtesting sessions, whereby real-time feedback is provided on game play and modifications.
