    Abstract: A disposable absorbent article having a chassis defining a front waist region, a rear waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the front waist region and rear waist region. The article includes a topsheet, an outer cover, and a core assembly disposed therebetween. The article further includes an anchoring system that includes an anchoring band, which may assume the form of a circumferential anchoring member that is configured to engage the wearer's body. The anchoring system further includes a load distribution element connected between the core assembly and the anchoring band to transfer load forces from the core to the wearer's body through the anchoring band.
