  • Publication number: 20230041671
Abstract: The present invention relates to a granulated block propellant device for firearms that is comprised of a generally rectangular body that has a flat top surface and a flat bottom surface, in addition to a set and a second set of generally parallel side surfaces. In differing embodiments, the body may be in the form of an axial slab body, a radial disc body, or a concentric-wrapped body. The body is further comprised of at least one perforation that can be arranged in a plurality of configurations. The body may also be comprised of at least one partial cut on a surface of the body that does not have the plurality of configurations. In one embodiment, the device can be placed in the casing of a projectile and used as a propellant. Multiple devices may also be stacked atop one another within a projectile casing.

  • Patent number: 5809457
Abstract: An inertial pointing and control system and method for pointing to a designated target with known coordinates from a platform, to provide accurate position, steering, and command information. The system continuously receives GPS signals and corrects Inertial Navigation System (INS) dead reckoning or drift errors. An INS is mounted directly on a pointing instrument rather than in a remote location on the platform for monitoring the terrestrial position and instrument attitude, and for pointing the instrument at designated celestial targets or ground based landmarks. As a result, the pointing instrument and the INS move independently in inertial space from the platform since the INS is decoupled from the platform. Another important characteristic of the present system is that selected INS measurements are combined with predefined coordinate transformation equations and control logic algorithms under computer control in order to generate inertial pointing commands to the pointing instrument.

  • Patent number: 4139593
Abstract: A molding station having packer heads is positioned between a pair of stripping stations having ejectors and a mold box having first and second mold sections is movable between first and second positions with the ejectors at the one stripping station registering with the one mold section and the packer heads registering with the other mold section and at the second position the ejectors at the other stripping station registering with the other mold section and the packer heads registering with the first mold section. The completed molded product is ejected as the mold box is raised and the molded product is formed as the mold box is lowered. The mold box is raised and lowered between top and bottom table halves and when in the lowered position is movable between the first and second positions on rails having legs adapted to engage a stationary support when the lower table half is lowered a predetermined distance.
